My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 14:12

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 14:12

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

THOSE OF FAITH

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” Rev. 14:12

Here is the... These verses are an encouragement to saints who will be killed in the future tribulation (Rev. 14:12-13; 6:9-11; 7:9-17; 15:2-4; 20:4-6).
of the saints... Three characteristics of saints:
1. Patience in sufferings
2. Keeping the commandments
3. Keeping the faith of Jesus Christ
they that keep... This is excellent scriptural support for the doctrine of perseverance, which assures all true believers in Christ that they will never lose their faith. The regenerate will continually endure, right to the end, in obedience to the truth, no matter what may come against them (see Rom. 8:31-39; Phil 1:6; compare Jer. 32:40; Matt. 24:13; John 6:35-40; 10:27-30; 1 John 5:4, 11-13, 20).

Those who keep God’s commandments and are faithful to Him will need patient endurance (Rev. 14:12; cf. 13:10). The doctrine of eternal punishment, though unpopular with liberal scholars and difficult to accept, is nevertheless clearly taught in the Bible. Jesus and the Apostle John say more on this subject than does all the rest of the Bible.
This third messenger angel will fly in mid-heaven during the great tribulation announcing the fact that if any man worship the beast and his image or receive his mark he will be doomed to eternal torment. This torment will be with fire and brimstone, in the presence of the angels and the Lamb. It is called the “wine of the wrath of God” which will be pored out undiluted upon all that commit this great sin. The above is one of the most solemn messages in the Bible and is an unanswerable argument on reality and eternity of hell. So awful will be this sin and so terrible its consequences that God will send an angel to warn men continually during this period of beast worship. The three messages will go forth at about the same period of time. All three will serve as anticipative warnings to men of the consequences of their sin and rejection of God. The above message seems to be also one of comfort to those who do not take the mark and worship the beast but who receive his persecution, for the statement ends in “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Cf. Rev. 12:17; 13:10.

An Oracle Concerning Damascus

An Oracle Concerning Damascus
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. Isa. 17:1

the burden of... The 19th prophecy in Isaiah (Isa. 17:1-14; Isa. 17:1-11 fulfilled by Assyria, 2Ki. 16:9-18; Isa. 17:12-14 unfulfilled). Next, Isa. 18:1.

The 19th Prophecy in Isaiah

Fifteen Predictions—Fulfilled:
1. Damascus will be destroyed (Isa. 17:1).
2. It shall be a ruinous heap.
3. The cities of Aroer will be forsaken (Isa. 17:2).
4. They shall be shelters for flocks.
5. There will not be enough men left to drive them away.
6. The fortress of Ephraim shall cease (Isa. 17:3).
7. The kingdom of Syria shall cease from Damascus.
8. The remnant of Syria shall cease.
9. They shall depart as the glory did from Israel.
10. The glory of Jacob shall be made thin—diminished (Isa. 17:4).
11. Jacob shall wax lean in body.
12. The riches of Damascus will be taken away by the invaders like the harvesters gather the wheat, grapes, olives, and other crops (Isa. 17:5).
13. Not much will be left—it will be like a few olives left on branches hard to reach (Isa. 17:6).
14. The few people who are left will recognize that the judgment is from God, and they will look to Him instead of idols (Isa. 17:7-8).
15. Strong cities shall become desolate because of their alliance with Israel who is the object of God’s wrath because of sin (Isa. 17:9-10).
Six Predictions—Unfulfilled:
1. Many nations shall be mobilized against Israel (Isa. 17:12-13).
2. God shall rebuke them (Isa. 17:13).
3. They shall flee afar off.
4. They shall be chased as chaff that flies before the wind, and like a rolling thing carried about in a wind.
5. They shall not flee and escape in the darkness of the night, for at evening time there shall be light as in the day, so that their destroyers will see to slay them (Isa. 17:14; Zec. 14:5-7).
6. The night shall be as light as day and they will be destroyed by the time morning breaks (Isa. 17:14; Zec. 14:1-7).
Defeat of Syria
is taken away... The defeat of Rezin and the destruction of Damascus were fulfilled by the Assyrians (Isa. 17:1; 7:1-25; 8:3-4; 2Ki. 16:5-18).
Seven Great Judgments by Assyria:
1. Damascus, the capital of Syria, will be destroyed (Isa. 17:1).
2. The cities of Aroer shall be forsaken (Isa. 17:2). There were three cities named Aroer. It could be that all are involved in this reference; or, it could mean cities around Aroer, in which case the reference would be to the one on the river Arnon which was within ancient Moab and later in Reuben, for the Assyrians did defeat this part of Israel when Moab was destroyed (2 Kings 15:29-17:41).
3. The fortress of Ephraim shall cease (Isa. 17:3). This means that the ten-tribe kingdom and Samaria would be destroyed also by Assyria, which was fulfilled 721 B.C. (2Ki. 17:1-41). Ephraim was the usual name used by Isaiah in referring to the northern kingdom of Israel (Isa. 17:3; 7:2-9; 9:9; 11:13; 28:1-3).
4. Syria as a kingdom shall fall (Isa. 17:3).
5. The glory of Jacob and Israel shall depart and there will be few in number left (Isa. 17:3-11). The word "glory "here denotes dignity and power on which they relied and of which they boasted.
6. The remnant of Syria will also be removed (Isa17:3).
7. The glory of Jacob shall be made thin; that is, the power of Israel was to be diminished by the destruction of the northern kingdom, called Ephraim here (Isa. 17:4).
The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Isa. 17:2
The cities of... Since Aroer was a city in Moab, the words the cities of Aroer are difficult to understand. Some Septuagint (Greek) manuscripts read that Damascus and her cities will be “abandoned forever.” With the cities around Damascus deserted, animals will make the ruins their home (Isa. 17:2).
The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. Isa. 17:3
also shall cease... Both Ephraim, representing Israel, and Damascus, representing Aram (cf. Isa. 7:8), would be defeated (Isa. 17:3). Assyria defeated Aram in 732 and Israel in 722.
And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. Isa. 17:4
in that day... This is the first of three sections beginning with the phrase in that day. The others are Isa. 17:7-8 and Isa. 17:9-11. This refers to the time of God’s wrath on His enemies followed by His blessings showered on His people. In some passages, it has eschatological implications (referring to the Tribulation and the Millennium), but in others it refers only to the current situation. In Isa. 17:4, 17:7, 17:9 the phrase “in that day” refers to the situation mentioned repeatedly throughout the first portion of Isaiah — the invasion of Aram and Israel by the Assyrian army.
shall be made... Twofold calamity of Ephraim (or Jacob):
1. Jacob was to be made thin and feeble like a human body wasted away by disease.
2. Like that of a harvest when all the fruits are gathered except a few in the upper branches, or like a few stalks of wheat left standing after the harvest (Isa. 17:5-6).
and the... Because of that invasion Israel would face difficulties, compared to the fat of one’s body wasting away (Isa. 17:4)
And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. Isa. 17:5
it shall be... Because of that invasion Israel would face difficulties, compared to the barren appearance of a field (Isa. 17:5)
with his arm... This refers to the custom of gathering a handful of wheat stalks in one hand and cutting them with a sickle in the other.
in the valley... The valley of giants southwest of Jerusalem. The Valley of Rephaim (cf. Jos. 15:8; 18:16) was a fertile area west of Jerusalem where David had twice defeated the Philistines (2Sa. 5:18-20, 5:22-25).
Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel. Isa. 17:6
shall be left in... The remnant of Syria and Ephraim was to be small after their destruction by the Assyrians. This is pictured by only a few grapes left, and a few olives in the uppermost branches after the harvest.
therof,... again because of that invasion Israel would face difficulties, compared to the shaking of an olive tree (Isa. 17:6) at harvest.
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. Isa. 17:7
At that day... This shows the desired effect on the remnant of men left after the Assyrian destruction of Syria and Ephraim. It would cause them to recognize that the judgment was just and sent by God. They would look to Him as their source of help instead of idol gods and superstitions (Isa. 17:7-8).
and his eyes... When faced with the terror and distress of warfare they would realize the inadequacy of worshiping idols.
And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. Isa. 17:8
Four things men will not look to:
he shall not look...
1. Their many altars to idols
2. Any man-made deity or shrine
3. either the Groves
4. Images (Hebrew: chamman, sun-pillar, an image by which the sun was worshiped, Isa. 17:8; 21:9; 30:22; 41:29; 42:8, 42:17)
In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. Isa. 17:9
In that day... This is one of the few places where "in that day" does not apply to the Millennium. It refers to the day in which the Assyrians were to fulfill this prophecy by destroying Syria and Ephraim.
his strong cities... The strong cities of both Syria and Ephraim were destroyed by the Assyrians, mainly because of the sins of Israel. As a result of the judgment in that day (see Isa. 17:4) Damascus and her strong cities would be abandoned and thickets and underbrush would grow.
Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: Isa. 17:10
Three general sins causing judgment:
Because thou hast...
1. You have forgotten God.
2. Neglected salvation.
3. Not been mindful that true help and protection come from God.
rock of thy strength... God and Christ were the great Rocks of Israel.
shalt thou plant... You will set out plants and hope for a good crop, but you will be disappointed because of the invader taking it; you will have grief and sorrow (Isa. 17:10-11).
strange slips... That is, choice plants from afar.
In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. Isa. 17:11
shalt thou make... Because of her unfaithfulness to the true God and her having forgotten Him, her efforts at planting vines and getting a harvest (as if she were secure, in a time of peace) would be fruitless. The plants would be diseased and the people would be in pain.
Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! Isa. 17:12
The Land of Whirring Wings (17:12-18:7)
The fact that Oh (hôy; see Isa. 3:9) is the same Hebrew word translated “woe” in Isa. 18:1 may indicate that Isa. 17:12-14 goes with Isa. 18:1-7.
Woe to the... Have a latter-day fulfillment because:
1. The picture is of the gathering of many nations against Israel (Isa. 17:12-13).
2. It will be when God will rebuke them and fight for Israel (Isa. 17:13). This couldn’t be the time of judgment on Israel, spoken of in previous verses, for this is God’s judgment on the nations gathered against Israel (Ezekiel 38-39; Joe. 3:1-21; Zec. 14:1-21; Rev. 19:1-21).
3. The mighty armies of the nations will flee like chaff before a whirlwind, as also predicted in Isa. 13:14.
4. The day Christ comes to earth during Armageddon is the only time in the future when the night will be as bright as day to give enough time to destroy the great armies gathered against Jerusalem and the Jews. The whole night will be like it was in Joshua’s long day (Jos. 10:13-14). Zechariah plainly predicts that it will become light at evening (Zec. 14:1-8). Here it reveals how long this light will last—a full night, for by morning the fleeing armies will be destroyed. Such will be the judgment or "portion of them that spoil us (Israel)" (Isa. 17:14).
The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. Isa. 17:13
like the rushing... The raging… nations (Isa. 17:12; cf. Psm. 2:1) are said to be like the roar of surging waters.
but shall rebuke... These peoples were the Assyrians, whom God was using to judge His people. Apparently the “nations” (pl.) means the particular nation which was the dominant power in its day, namely, Assyria.
and shall be... When God would punish (rebuke) them (the Assyrians), they would become like chaff (cf. Isa. 29:5), the light and useless part of grain which, when winnowed, blows away.
rolling thing... Hebrew: galgal, a wheel; a whirlwind; a rolling thing.
And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. Isa. 17:14
And behold at... How appropriate that though Assyria brought terror in the evening, the enemy would be gone before morning, for such was the case with the Assyrian army (Isa. 37:36-37). Though the Assyrian soldiers had plundered many cities of Judah, 185,000 soldiers were slaughtered overnight.

The Third Messenger Angel: Doom of the Beast Worshipers

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev. 14:11

And the smoke... This "smoke" that comes up rises from the bottomless pit. You see this "torment" is not just for a short time and is over. This is forever, just as heaven is forever for the believers. "Ascendeth" means continually ascends.

torment ascendeth up... A reference to the eternality of hell (compare Matt. 3:12; 13:41-42; 25:41; Mark 9:48). Torment is the ceaseless infliction of unbearable pain (compare Luke 16:23-24), here prescribed for all who are loyal to Satan’s leader.
no rest day... This lack of "rest day nor night" is in total contrast to the peace forever the Christians possess. This is very explicit again about who will spend this time in hell. Those who receive the mark of the beast have sealed their doom.

It appears that if a man takes the mark he will likely first make a shipwreck of his conscience and faith in God, yield to the possession of demons and sell his soul to the devil, and become the habitation of all that is foul and unclean

The Third Messenger Angel: Doom of the Beast Worshipers

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Rev. 14:10

of his indignation... Is it any wonder that God will be so indignant when men will reject His written word, refuse to repent when judgments from heaven are sent upon them (Rev. 9:20-21; 16:9, 16:11), reject the preaching of real angels flying in the midst of heaven (Rev. 14:6-11), and ignore the preaching and miracles done by the two witnesses and multitudes of Christians who will receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the endowment of power to do miracles? See Acts 2:16-21; Rev. 11:3-12; 12:17; 19:10. Anyone loyal to the Antichrist and his kingdom will suffer the outpouring of God’s collected wrath, done with the full force of His divine anger and unmitigated vengeance (compare Psalm 75:8; Isa. 51:17; Jer. 25:15-16). Divine wrath is not an impulsive outburst of anger aimed capriciously at people God does not like. It is the settled, steady, merciless, graceless, and compassionless response of a righteous God against sin.
and he shall... One of many passages teaching eternal torment of the wicked (Rev. 14:10-11; 20:10-15; 21:8; 22:15; Isa. 66:22-24; Mat. 8:12; 13:39-50; 25:41, 25:46; Mar. 9:43-49; Luke 12:5; 16:19-31).
fire and brimstone... These are two elements that are often associated in Scripture with the torment of divine punishment (Gen. 19:24-25; Isa. 34:8-10). Here the reference is to hell, the lake of fire (compare 19:20; 20:10; 21:8). Brimstone is a fiery sulfur (see note on 9:17).
presence of the... People in the new earth will be able to "look upon the men that have transgressed" and are suffering punishment with the devil and his angels, as an everlasting monument of God’s wrath on sin (Rev. 14:10; Isa. 13:19-22; 34:8-15; 66:22-24).

The everlasting character of this judgment is stated plainly in Rev. 14:11 : The smoke of their torment rises forever and ever, and they will have no rest. The "fire and brimstone" here is the very same as that which destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Just as the angels saw Sodom burn, they are a witness to this as well. The Lamb (Jesus), is the Judge who speaks judgment. It not only will be in His presence, but He will order this punishment as well.

The Third Messenger Angel: Doom of the Beast Worshipers

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, Rev. 14:9

The third angel, will pronounce doom on the worshipers of Antichrist during the Great Tribulation period. It may be, since he follows them, that this angel will come to the earth, and like the angel who preached the eternal gospel, warn human beings of the consequences of accepting the mark of the Antichrist and becoming his worshiper
.
We studied before about the mark of the beast. The number put in your forehead or right hand, seals the person receiving it as belonging to the beast. Just as God the Father's name is on the 144,000 and Jesus Christ's name is on the Christians of today, these who take the mark of the beast are sealed with the devil's number which is 666.
The antichrist system is a counterfeit of the trinity of God. It consists of the beast, antichrist, and false prophet. All are a personification of Satan himself.
worship the beast... (see 13:14-15; compare 13:8).

A third angel followed with another judgment that worshipers of the beast and his image who receive his mark will be objects of God’s wrath and will be destined for eternal torment along with Satan, the demon world, and all unsaved people

The Second Messenger Angel: The Fall of Babylon

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication” Rev. 14:8

The second angel will fly in the heavens announcing the fall of literal Babylon, which will be destroyed under the 7th vial (Rev. 14:8; 16:17-21; 18:1-24).
Babylon is fallen,... This "Babylon" that "is fallen” here is a literal city. This is the world system out of that city that opposed the church of today and the Christians of the tribulation to come. This evil world system did all in her power to stop Christianity. This power and the one causing small and great to receive the mark will be one and the same. We see here, it has fallen. "Babylon" is reference of the world and its evil system. Babylon, in the physical is in Iraq.
because she made... Lack of response to the first angel’s message causes a second angel to pronounce this judgment. Babylon refers to the entire worldwide political, economic, and religious kingdom of Antichrist (compare 16:17-19 for details of this fall). The original city of Babylon was the birthplace of idolatry where the residents built the Tower of Babel, a monument to rebelliousness and false religion. Such idolatry was subsequently spread when God confounded man’s language and scattered them around the world (compare Gen. 11:1-9).
Note again here, that just before this world system folds, the gospel will be preached unto all nations, as we read above and in Matthew:
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Here in this, God has said this is enough, and the World and its evil followers fall. This fornication is spiritual adultery, not physical.
wine of the... This pictures Babylon causing the world to become intoxicated with her pleasures and enter an orgy of rebellion, hatred, and idolatry toward God. Fornication is spiritual prostitution to Antichrist’s false system, which will fall for such iniquity.
Bible students are well aware of the fact that Revelation refers to 2 Babylons, both termed "Babylon the Great".
Destruction is predicted for both because they will cause people to drink of the wine of the wrath of their fornication. We may understand that this fore glimpse refers to religious Babylon because it takes place in the Great Tribulation. The destruction of the literal city of Babylon is found (in Rev. 16:18-19).
That the city of Babylon will be rebuilt and become the commercial center of the world is seen from such passages (in Isaiah chapters 13 and 14; Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51). As the city of Babylon has never been destroyed according to the Old Testament predictions; thus, we can only conclude that it will be rebuilt and become the commercial center of Antichrist's kingdom; then it will be destroyed at the end of the Great Tribulation. This again points to the fact that Babylon will become the center of the world.
This message that is brought will be final in its nature. It will be good news (gospel), but it will also be a last warning. This is a final warning to turn from the world to the Creator of it all. "The Lord is coming", will be the cry. This message will be worldwide. Remember an angel is a ministering spirit. These will be evangelists. One more time I say this is the final warning that judgment is about to fall.

The first angel was followed by a second angel who announced that Babylon the Great, which intoxicated others with her adulteries, has fallen. This apparently is in anticipation of the description of that city (see Rev. 18:1-24).
This angel will also fly in mid-heaven proclaiming the fall of Literal Babylon, that great city, which is to be destroyed under the seventh vial at the end of the Week, Rev. 16:17-21; 18:1-24. Such an anticipative message at this time is in keeping with God's dealings with any city or nation. God always warns of impending judgment, thus giving the guilty a chance to repent and avert the judgment.

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 14:7

The First Messenger Angel: The Everlasting Gospel

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” Rev. 14:7

Fear God, and... This is the theme of Scripture, calling people to give honor, glory, worship, and reverence to God (compare Prov. 23:17; 1 Peter 2:17; see Rom. 1:18-21).

hour of his... The last moment arrives to repent and believe before God’s wrath is poured out. This is the book’s first use of the word judgment, a term that has the same meaning as wrath (see 6:17; 12:12).
him that made... Creation is the great proof of God, which preachers will appeal to as the ground for all people to believe in Him and worship Him (compare 4:11; 10:6; John 1:9; Acts 14:15-17; 17:23-28).
One more time I say this is the final warning that judgement is about to fall. Jesus is Creator God.
The 144,000 Israelite witnesses from all over the world will be converted through the printed page left behind by the departing church. These witnesses will harvest a multitude that no one can number (Rev. 7:9). This indicates that the early days of the Tribulation will experience the greatest revival in world history.
Remember when we first discussed the 144,000 in chapter seven; they first had to be sealed. Why and how did they get sealed? The same way we are sealed, by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The extent of this gospel should be noted, for it will be preached "to those who live on the earth, to every nation, tribe, language and people".
One of the signs of the last days is quoted “that the gospel is to be preached to everyone”. Here is what is said about that in;
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
This is why I don't believe that this must be done before the rapture, but before the second coming.
This seems to be God's last offer to humankind to flee the wrath to come before they accept Antichrist. We have already seen that Antichrist and the False Prophet will mount a great campaign, after having killed the prostitute, the ecumenical Babylonian church and will seek to get everyone to worship Antichrist. This blasphemous idolatry will forfeit anyone's claim to eternal life; thus all will be eternally lost. But as a prelude to that decision, the angel (of Rev. 14:6), will make known the gospel to all the world so that no one can stand before God at the judgment and maintain that he or she accepted the Antichrist without due warning from God.
Again, Revelation is not written in consecutive order. I do believe there will be a voice going throughout the land proclaiming the second coming of Christ, just as there was a voice (John the Baptist), proclaiming His first arrival as Christ. The people will be warned. They will be without excuse. God will have a herald going forth proclaiming truth. Everyone will have their opportunity to accept Jesus as Lord.

This first angel announced, Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. So the “eternal” message seems to be a message of God’s righteousness and judgment with the message of salvation.

The “everlasting gospel” which will be the subject of the first messenger angel in the great tribulation, is used only here and has reference to the eternity of the message past, present, and future. Its message and scope takes in all of the intelligent creatures in the universe. Its message is threefold: first, “fear God”; second, “give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment is come”; third, “worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” This message will have particular significance at this time, for it will be proclaimed immediately after the rise of the beasts out of the sea (Antichrist) and out of the earth (false prophet), who will deceive men by reason of the supernatural powers invested in them by Satan. God will counteract these deceptions by the ministry of the two witnesses, the multitudes of saints who will be saved and endued with miraculous powers after the catching up of, the Jewish people, the Holy Spirit who will exercise His present office work as before, the judgments of God, and by the appearance of angels in the heavens preaching their respective messages. God will permit the deception of Satan; yet in the face of them, He will still be faithful to warn men and use all legitimate means to turn men from such falsehoods which will seal their eternal doom.
The theme of this eternal message is that the Creator alone is to be feared and worshiped and that He alone will be the final judge of all. This message, although an eternal one, will have an additional incentive in the great tribulation, for the angel announces, “the hour (period) of His judgment is come,” or is already manifest, referring to the judgments of God which will be pored out during this time. This indeed will be glad tidings to those oppressed by the Antichrist, but fear the condemnation of him and his followers. Hence, the special preaching of it at this time.
