My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:5

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:5

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

Revelation 16

And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. Rev. 16:5

And I heard... Notice here, this is not the people saying that God is righteous. This is the angel saying God is righteous. At no time do the people repent. The angel here is saying that this judgment that God has brought is justified. This God mentioned here is the great “I Am”.

which art, and... This phrase expresses God’s eternality (compare 1:4, 8; 14:8; 11:17). Verse 6 says that the eternal God will judge justly because they have killed the believers and preachers of the gospel (6:9-11; 7:9-17; 11:18; 17:6; 18:20). This slaughter will have no parallel in history (Matt. 24:21), and neither will the vengeance of God (compare Rom. 12:19-21).
because thou hast... These three verses simply praise God for His justice in these plagues (Rev. 16:5-7).

John heard the angel in charge of the waters proclaim that God the Holy One is just in His judgments (Rev. 16:5).

After seeing the rivers and fountains turned to blood, John heard the angel of the waters; i.e., the angel that has the third vial which turns the waters to blood, give thanks to God and ascribe to Him righteousness because He had thus judged. Then the angel of the alter in heaven sanctioned the judgment of God and the praise to Him given by the angel of the waters. God always has been, is, and always will be just to all His creation. Any judgment He sends is just and has not been sent before His mercy and longsuffering have been futile.

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:4

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:4

Revelation 16

The Third Vial: The Rivers to Blood

And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. Rev. 16:4

and they became... Could this not happen literally also, as it did in Egypt (Exo. 7:19-24)?

And the third...The third vial, a sequel to the second, carries with it an interesting explanation as to why God will permit it. God will destroy the only remaining sources of water, the rivers and fountains or springs of the deep, by letting them turn to blood.

Fresh water, already in short supply because of the prolonged drought (11:6), will now suffer the fate of the oceans (compare Exodus (7:19ff), in addition to suffering from thirst, the worshipers of Antichrist will have no clean water with which to wash their sores.
Whether this means literal “blood”, is inconsequential, for if Christ can turn water to wine, He certainly can turn water to blood. What is significant is that it will become corrupt blood, which will breed disease and pestilence. One of the basic needs of humankind is water. Unless God provides water from another source or engineers by some process can turn this corrupted water into pure water, the world will be in a state of riot and confusion, seeking this necessity of life.
All of this describes devastation beyond what we can comprehend. The judgment of God has fallen. Sometimes, God uses wars to bring His will about. At any rate, this no doubt does away with a good part of humanity.

The Third Bowl (Rev. 16:4-7)

Just as the third trumpet made “a third of the waters” bitter (Rev. 8:11), so the third… bowl extends the judgment of the second bowl on the sea to rivers and springs and they became blood (Rev. 16:4).
When the waters of Egypt and the sea in the second trumpet and second vial are turned to blood, the fish will die but here there is no statement that the fish will die. Still it is reasonable to think that they will die, for they cannot live in impure waters. Not only will the rivers be turned to blood, but also the fountains of waters and the drinking places of both man and beast. What a terrible plague when men and beasts will be made to drink bloody water!

The Battle for Judea and Samaria

The Battle for Judea and Samaria

Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.” (Isaiah 66:8)

The world and Arab countries

Most of the world and especially Arab countries have fiercely come against Trump's new Peace Plan which recognizes an undivided Jerusalem. The city which God calls his own.

During the Six-Day War (June 5–10, 1967) the Israeli military captured territory that included East Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria, Israel’s ancient heartland, after the surrounding Arab nations mounted their considerable military might against Israel, a land with over 3,000 years of Biblical and Messianic history.

The Prophetic Truth about Judea and Samaria

We read in the Tanakh (Old Testament) that the Messiah Himself, would be born in a small Judean town called Bethlehem:

"As for you, Bethlehem of Ephrathah, even though you remain least among the clans of Judah, nevertheless, the one who rules in Israel for me will emerge from you. His existence has been from antiquity, even from eternity. (Micah 5:2)

And, indeed, it happened as prophesied:

"After Yeshua had been born in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of King Herod, wise men arrived in Jerusalem from the east." (Matthew 2:1)

Also in the Tanakh, God appeared to Abraham in Shechem, which today is a predominantly Muslim city called Nablus, and declared, “To your offspring I will give this land.” (Genesis 12:7)

God also told Abraham:

Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you. So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the LORD.” (Genesis 13:17–18)

We also read in ancient Jewish literature of the Talmud (compendium of Rabbinic commentaries) the grandeur of Judea's capital, Jerusalem, and the Holy Temple that once stood there:

"He who has not seen Jerusalem in its beauty, has not seen a beautiful great city in his whole life; and who has not seen the building of the Second Temple, has not seen a handsome building in his life.”

That description was given 2,000 years ago; today Islamic fundamentalism is lobbying the world to rewrite history.

The Revised History of Judea's Temple Mount

In 2016, the United Nation's World Heritage Committee voted by secret ballot adopted a resolution.

Drafted solely by Arab nations, the resolution refers to the Temple Mount where King Solomon built the first Jewish Temple, only by its Arabic Islamic names “Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif,” calling it “a Muslim holy site of worship.”

In the previous draft, the "three monotheistic religions" were mentioned. But in the final draft, not only did it entirely ignore any Christian connection, it also left out any relationship of the Temple Mount, Western (Wailing) Wall or Old City to the Jewish people or Judaism.

Moreover, the resolution rebukes Israel's archaeological studies near and in the Western Wall tunnels. The irony, as Times of Israel points out, is that the very evidence that Israel is uncovering from these digs—which prove a Jewish connection to Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem—"may now be designated as destruction of the Muslim site."

Another irony, is that Muslim archaeology also verifies the Jewishness of the Temple Mount.

In the central mosque at the village of Nuba, just west of Hebron in Judea, an inscription on the wall reads that the building and all the territory around Nuba is an endowment for the "Bayt al-Maqdis," which is the Arabic name for Beit HaMikdash or Holy Temple.

That Bayt al-Maqdis is a name for the Dome of the Rock that sits on the Temple Mount.

The inscription was dedicated by the Arab ruler who conquered Jerusalem in AD 638, Umar iben al-Khattab. So, early in their conquest in Jerusalem, the Muslims had a reverence for the Jewish Temples that once stood in the very spot of the Dome of the Rock.

Judea and Samaria: Prophecy Fulfilled

Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above.” (Isaiah 37:31)

Since the world is denying that the Holy Temple site has no Jewish connection, it also sees no Jewish connection to the larger territory of Judea and Samaria.

Israeli settlement in these territories began after the Six-Day War in 1967, and today there are nearly 400,000 religious and secular Israelis living throughout Judea and Samaria, including eastern Jerusalem.

While the world largely takes a dim view of Jewish settlement in this area, it is the fulfillment of many Bible prophecies:

The days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their ancestors to possess, says the LORD." (Jeremiah 30:3)

Today there is a 4% growth rate in Jewish population in the territories, double that of the rest of Israel.

This is partly due to the high rate of birth among the Orthodox Haredi communities.

Former head of the Shomron (Samarian) Liaison Office, David Ha’iviri also pointed to the attractiveness of clean air, beautiful vistas, and cool climate, and then added, “But aside from that, and even more important, there’s a godly process of fulfilling prophecy that’s beyond explanation. The prophets promised that the children of Israel would return to these mountains and rebuild these Jewish cities and Jewish towns. And that’s what's happening.”

"I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before.” (Jeremiah 33:7)

Despite the economic advantages enjoyed by Arabs coexisting peacefully with Jewish communities, the security threat to Israelis living in Judea and Samaria persists.

A third intifada or uprising began on Yom Kippur (in September) of 2015 on the Temple Mount and quickly spread throughout Judea and Samaria. It continues to this day, even reaching as far as Tel Aviv and the southern city of Eilat.

Each month there are hundreds of attacks, including stabbings, shootings; car ramming attacks, roadside bombs and grenades; stone-throwing attacks, and Molotov cocktails," as reported by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

On top of that you have missiles being fired into Israeli cities and towns!

West Bank or Judea and Samaria: What’s in a Name?

The term West Bank (so named because the land is situated on the west bank of the Jordan River as opposed to Jordan’s territory on the east side) was labeled such only about 73 years ago.

The names Judea and Samaria, on the other hand are ancient, they are thousands of years old as seen in the Bible!

Though smaller in size, their location roughly corresponds to the ancient Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, also known as the Northern and Southern Kingdoms.

These two kingdoms were created following the death of King Solomon when the 10 northern tribes refused to submit to his son, Rehoboam.

After the Northern Kingdom of Israel fell to the Assyrians in 720 BC, it was renamed Shomron or Samaria.

The Southern Kingdom of Yehudah (Judah) had a name change, as well. During the Hellenistic and Roman periods, it was called Judea.

Samaria includes land that was originally a part of the inheritance belonging to the tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim, and Judea encompasses territory allocated to the tribes of Benjamin and Judah.

During the British Mandate period, the area of Samaria was an administrative district with that same name.

The Disputed Biblical Heartland

When the British Mandate ended in 1948, Israel declared its independence as a nation. With the British gone, the surrounding Arab nations of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria attacked Israel.

As part of the peace agreement in 1949 between Israel and these invading nations, a demarcation or "Green" line was established that allowed Jordan to occupy East Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria (Yehudah and Shomron), while Egypt held the Gaza Strip.

This demarcation line was never officially a border and a Palestinian entity was never created.

The Jordanian occupation, however, led to the desecration of Jewish holy sites, cemeteries, and historic synagogues, as well as the expulsion of all Jewish residents.

Jews were even barred from visiting the Temple site.

On June 5, 1967, following a mounting threat by the same nations that invaded in 1948 and an attack by Jordanian forces on West Jerusalem, Israel encircled the Old City of Jerusalem.

The IDF successfully pushed the Jordanian and Iraqi armed forces out of the West Bank and East Jerusalem and recaptured the Old City, including the Western Wall, Temple Mount and, finally, Judea and Samaria.

In the span of six days, what began as an attempt by Egypt, Syria and Jordan to destroy the nation of Israel, ended in a decisive victory for the 19-year old nation.

The victory led to the reunification of Jerusalem and the capture of Israel’s ancient Biblical heartland—the entire region lying between the Jordan River and what people now refer to as the 1967 border.

Though Arabs demand these territories back, even the names of Arab neighborhoods in Judea and Samaria, such as Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron and others reaffirm the land's Biblical Jewish roots.

The Tanakh (Old Testament) and Brit Chadashah (New Testament) record many events that took place in these ancient cities.

For example, Bethlehem is mentioned 44 times in the Bible and is the birthplace of King David and Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

The Arabic name for the Palestinian village El-Jib comes from the name Gibeon, where Joshua commanded the sun and moon to temporarily stop during battle:

On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: ‘Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.’” (Joshua 10:12)

Anata, which is just outside of Jerusalem, is Anatot, where the Prophet Jeremiah lived.

Jeremiah said, ‘The word of the LORD came to me: Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, Buy my field at Anathoth [Anatot], because as nearest relative it is your right and duty to buy it.'” (Jeremiah 32:6-7)

Tequa (Tekoa) is the town of the Prophet Amos, whom God called to preach to the Northern Kingdom, particularly the cities of Samaria and Bethel (modern-day Beitin), which was once the site of the Holy Ark, although he was from the Southern Kingdom of Judea.

Hebron: The City of the Patriarchs

Jacob came home to his father Isaac in Mamre, near Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had stayed.” (Genesis 35:27)

Today, many people are aware of the Biblical and religious importance of the Old City of Jerusalem, but few realize the long, rich Jewish history of the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria.

Hebron, for instance, which is south of Jerusalem in Judea, has the oldest Jewish community in the world.

It was in Hebron that Abraham first resided after arriving in Canaan.

This ancient city is revered as the place where Abraham purchased a field to bury his wife Sarah in the Cave of Machpelah. (Genesis 23:19)

At that same site are also buried the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as well as the Matriarchs Rebekah, and Leah.

Hebron was also King David’s first capital. He was anointed as king here and then ruled from this city for seven years until he conquered Jerusalem.

David also took the men who were with him, each with his family, and they settled in Hebron and its towns. Then the men of Judah came to Hebron, and there they anointed David king over the tribe of Judah.” (2 Samuel 2:3-4)

Even after Rome destroyed Jerusalem and burned the Second Temple in AD 70, the Jewish People have lived in Hebron more or less continuously throughout the Byzantine, Arab, Mameluke, and Ottoman periods.

During the British Mandate, violence against the Jews in Hebron grew.

In 1929, an Arab pogrom (often an officially condoned violent mob attack) caused the death of 67 Jews. In 1936, on the eve of the Palestinian Arab national revolt, the British Government moved the Jewish community out of Hebron as a safety precaution.

Immediately following the Six-Day War in 1967, the Jewish community of Hebron was re-established.

Today, over 7,000 Jews live in a community adjacent to the city with the Biblical name of Kiryat Arba, the original name of Hebron.

Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba after Arba, who was the greatest man among the Anakites.” (Joshua 14:15)

United Nations Pressures Jews to Leave Judea and Samaria

The United Nations Security Council Resolution 242, which was adopted in November 1967 after the Six-Day War, calls for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the "occupied territories" of Judea and Samaria.

In May 1968, Israel accepted the resolution when the Israeli ambassador told the UN Security Council:

"My government has indicated its acceptance of the Security Council resolution for the promotion of agreement on the establishment of a just and lasting peace."

This resolution paved the way for the Oslo Accords of 1993 and 1995, a series of agreements that transferred land to the Palestinian Arabs.

Following the Oslo Accords of 1993, many urban centers in Judea and Samaria came under the administrative control of the Palestinian Authority, including Jenin (where the IDF withdrawal in 2005 forced the dismantlement of several Jewish settlements), Bethlehem, Jericho, Shechem, Ramallah, and Hebron.

Moreover, the UN has been calling for other major settlement areas to be abandoned. Those settlements include the city of Ariel, which sits 10 miles east of the “pre-1967 border;” Modi’in, a Jerusalem suburb of over 75,000; and Gush Etzion, a cluster of Israeli settlements located in the Judean Mountains directly south of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

When Israel totally withdrew from Gaza in 2005, Hamas turned the seaside strip into a rocket launch site against Israel. Of course, the same would happen if Israel totally withdrew from Judea and Samaria today.

But the world continues to put pressure on Israel to give back to the Palestinians the land Jordan controlled before the Six-Day War in 1967, including the eastern half of Jerusalem.

This international body continues to consider all neighborhoods in Judea and Samaria illegal and destined to be included in a future Palestinian State, even those that now are a part of Jerusalem proper, such as Gilo, which is in southwestern East Jerusalem.

Most of Gilo’s land was legally purchased by the Jewish People before World War II. That land was never relinquished, but the UN still considers Jewish settlement here illegal.

The truth is, however, that the Jewish People have been in the Holy Land for over 3,000 years, and the restoration of the nation of Israel and the return of the Jewish exiles is Bible prophecy fulfilled.

And the great majority of Arabs who call themselves Palestinians are here because of a massive 19th–20th century migration from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and other Muslim countries.

And while the world continues to call Judea and Samaria the “West Bank,” and the Jewish communities that live there “settlements,” this is the land that God promised to Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.

"The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you [Jacob], and I will give this land to your descendants after you." (Genesis 35:12)

The presence of the Jewish People in the Holy Land is more than fulfillment of Bible prophecy; it is evidence that God loves the Jewish People and is actively at work in their midst.

As the Church we believers need to bring the message of Salvation through Yeshua HaMashiach, the Prince of Peace, to Israel and the nations today.

Psalm 91:1

Psalm 91:1

My Refuge and My Fortress

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psm. 91:1
He that dwelleth... He—the individual, every person, not just the Messiah or ministers. It is thought that Psm. 90:1-17 and Psm. 91:1-16 were written by Moses at the beginning of the 40 years in the wilderness, the wanderings of which are the subject of the fourth book of psalms. Psm. 91:1-16 was written to comfort the believers in the wilderness while going through the 40-year curse, and to assure children of God in all ages of His providence in their earthly pilgrimage. If Moses wrote Psm. 91:1-16, then all the Scriptures quoted in our Lord’s temptation (even those quoted by Satan) were from the writings of Moses.
dwelleth- Hebrew: yashab, to sit down; to dwell; to remain; to settle in the sense of taking up a homestead or staking out a claim and resisting all claim-jumpers; to possess a place and live therein (Psm. 91:1; 80:1; 123:1; Deut. 26:1).
the secret place... Hebrew: cether, a covering; hiding place (note, Psm. 31:20).
the shadow of... This explains "the secret place of the Most High." Under the shadow (defense, protection) of the Almighty one will be safe.
In the secret... An intimate place of divine protection. The use of “Most High” for God emphasizes that no threat can ever overpower Him.
the shadow of... In a land where the sun can be oppressive and dangerous, a “shadow” was understood as a metaphor for care and protection.
This more than most Scriptures, brings great hope and promise to those who believe. We have discussed before that dwelleth means to continually dwell. This then is not speaking of a nominal believer, but of a believer in long standing who is sheltered in the secret place of the Most High. If this was written by Moses, as many believe, he could speak first hand at how wonderful it is to be in such close fellowship with God. Moses was the only one who went near unto God on the mount where he received the Ten Commandments. At one point, God put his hand over Moses and passed by, and Moses saw the back side of God. On two different occasions, Moses was in the very presence of God for 40 days and nights. Moses had a fellowship with God that all true believers would like to have. He had been so close that his head shined brightly when he came down the mountain. No wonder he was known as man of God. David was another that God took supernatural care of. The psalmist could have been either man. This would be my prayer today, O Lord that I might abide in Christ and Christ might abide in me. To fellowship with God on this level would be as heaven itself. Jesus opened the way for us into the Most Holy Place. Where the shadow of God is means that you are very near unto God. To be seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus is heaven. What a wonderful comfort to be close enough to God for His shadow to cover you.

Because the psalmist was convinced that there is security in trusting in the Most High God, he encouraged himself that he would be delivered from the various frightening attacks of the wicked. He knew that the Lord had appointed His angels over him to protect him.
This psalm is a beautiful testimony about security in life. Several terms link Psalms 90-92, thus suggesting they are a unit. “Dwelling” occurs in Psm. 90:1 and Psm. 91:9; “grass” in Psm. 90:5 and Psm. 92:7; “spring(s) up” in Psm. 90:6 and Psm. 92:7; “makeglad” in Psm. 90:15 and Psm. 92:4; “Your deeds” in Psm. 90:16 and Psm. 92:4; “Most High” in Psm. 91:1, Psm. 91:9 and Psm. 92:1. Also the judgment of the wicked is mentioned in Psm. 91:8 and Psm. 92:11.

Security in God (Psm. 91:1-2)

The psalmist expressed his great confidence in the fact that whoever trusts in the Most High finds security and protection. The titles of God in Psm. 91:1 (Most High and the Almighty) are significant, for they stress His power as the sovereign Ruler of the world. (On the meaning of “Almighty,” šadday, see Gen. 17:1.)
The images of the shelter and the shadow vividly portray divine protection. “Shelter” (sēṯer) is a hiding place (also used in Psm. 27:5; 32:7; 119:114, “refuge”). The shadow, perhaps the shadow of a bird’s wing (cf. Psm. 91:4), also pictures shelter and protection as well as comfort.

When the Assyrian Shall Come- Mic. 5:5

When the Assyrian Shall Come- Mic. 5:5

And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. Mic. 5:5

when the Assyrian... Antichrist is called "the Assyrian," for he will come from the territory Assyria ruled over in ancient times. For this same reason he can be called "the king of Babylon" (Isa. 14:1-32), the Syrian (Dan. 11:35-45), the Roman "prince that shall come" (Dan. 9:26-27), and the Grecian (Zec. 9:13). He will come from the territory ruled by Assyria, Babylon, Greece, Syria, and Rome. In the days of Micah and Isaiah the Assyrians had the great empire of Bible lands, so the future Antichrist could rightly be termed "the Assyrian." The Assyrian, Israel’s major foe in Micah’s day, is probably best understood as representative of all of Israel’s enemies, particularly those of the end times.
The fact of a latter-day fulfillment of Mic. 5:3-15 confirms that whoever the Assyrian will be, he will fulfill these scriptures in the day that:
1. She which travails has brought forth the man-child and herself (Mic. 5:2).
2. The remnant of Israel will be gathered to those that have already been gathered from the nations.
3. The Messiah will become great to the ends of the earth (Mic. 5:4).
4. The Messiah will be the peace of Israel and preserve her (Mic. 5:5).
5. Israel will be victorious over all her enemies (Mic. 5:5-6).
6. The Messiah will deliver Israel from the Assyrian when he comes into their land (Mic. 5:6).
7. The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many nations, like an all-powerful lion among sheep (Mic. 5:7-8).
8. The enemies of Israel will be cut off (Mic. 5:9).
9. The horses, chariots, and strongholds will be destroyed (Mic. 5:10-11).
10. Witchcraft and image worship will be destroyed out of the land, and God’s vengeance will be executed upon the heathen (Mic. 5:11-15).
tread in our... The Assyrians in the days of Micah, Isaiah, and Hezekiah did not tread in the palaces of Judah, so this treading refers to that of the future Antichrist when he will take over all of Israel, Jerusalem, and even the future Jewish temple at Jerusalem (Dan. 9:27; 11:40-45; Mat. 24:15; 2Th. 2:3-4; Rev. 11:1-2).
then shall we... Then, when Antichrist enters Israel, shall we (Israel) "raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men." Just who these shepherds and principal men will be is not revealed, but in that day the prediction will be literally fulfilled.
seven shepherds and… eight”: An idiom for a full and sufficient number of leaders, more than enough for the task (Eccl. 11:2).
Jesus not only brings peace, but is the King of Peace. He is our peace. The Assyrians here are speaking of the worldly people who come against God's people.
Seven- means spiritually complete. This then is saying, that the peace that Jesus brings is perfect and complete.
Eight- means new beginnings and these are some of Jesus' subordinates spoken of here.

The Ruler will destroy Israel’s enemies (Mic. 5:5-9).

This is one of Messiah’s several accomplishments in bringing peace to Israel (Mic. 5:5-15). He will be Israel’s peace because He will subdue the hostile powers around that nation. Though Assyria will not exist as a nation in the future, it represents nations who, like Assyria in Micah’s time, will threaten and attack Jerusalem (cf. Zec. 12:9; 14:2-3).

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:3

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:3

The Second Vial: The Sea to Blood

"And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea” Rev. 16:3

and it became... Could this not happen literally, as it did under the second trumpet (Rev. 8:8-9)? The sea here perhaps refers to the Mediterranean around which is located the kingdom of Antichrist.

Second angel poured... The Second Vial Judgment. Became as the blood of a dead man.
This is reminiscent of the second trumpet (8:8-9), and of the first plague against Egypt (Exodus 7:20-25). However, this plague will be far more widespread. The water in the world’s oceans will become thick, dark, and coagulated, like the blood of a corpse. The death and decay of billions of sea creatures will only add to the misery of this judgment.
We have already seen that God will cause a third part of the sea to turn to blood during the 2nd trumpet, but this second bowl includes the entire sea. Imagine when all living creatures in the seas die. Think of the unbearable stench and the potential for disease.
the blood of... Is coagulated and rotting. No evaporation for rain would be possible.
This judgment may well interfere with commercial shipping and send whole populations into confusion as people grope for an adequate supply of water, not to mention destroying what is left of the fish industry.
These vials, trumpets, and evil things happening are like the problems that came with the ten plagues on Egypt. In all cases, God brought them on to cause repentance. Just as Pharaoh repented not, these worshippers of the beast repented not. Many large cities have so much pollution today, that the water is bad.

The Second Bowl (Rev. 16:3)

After the second trumpet blew (Rev. 8:8-9), “a third of the sea turned into blood,” killing “a third of the living creatures” and destroying “a third of the ships” (Rev. 8:8-9). In the second… bowl, however, every living thing in the sea died (Rev. 16:3). It is probable that the ocean here did not chemically correspond to human blood, but that it looked like blood and had the same effect in killing everything. Just as in the second trumpet, the blood here is analogous to the first plague in Egypt (Exo. 7:20-25).

At the blowing of the second trumpet, one-third of the sea will become blood (Rev. 8:8-9), but here under the second vial all the sea will become blood. This does not mean that all the oceans will become blood for “the sea,” which is a definite sea, as mentioned in the Bible many times, is the reference. It is the Mediterranean, around which is the kingdom of the Antichrist that is to receive all these plagues. This does not mean that the sea will become the actual blood of dead men, but “as the blood of a dead man,” such as came through supernatural power in the land of Egypt and under the second trumpet in the first part of the Week. As the waters are changed and corrupted, all the creatures of the sea will die and the surface of the sea will be strewn with dead bodies of the finny family.
This will perhaps result in a pestilential odor that will make it impossible for human life to be near, and the waters will perhaps become so clogged that ships will remain immovable, as if icebound. It is impossible to imagine such foul conditions. One could only expect disease and starvation if caught out on the sea at that time. Previously, in the second trumpet, one-third of the ships will have been destroyed, and here all the ships are likely to be destroyed, for judgment will be over all and not over one-third of it.

Ezekiel Chapter 38- Vs. 5

Ezekiel Chapter 38- Vs. 5

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield
and helmet: Eze. 38:5

Persia, Ethiopia, and... Persia and modern Iran are the same.
Ethiopia is another hostile country to Christianity. Ethiopia is an
African country located south of Egypt. Libya is in North Africa
and joins Egypt on the west side. All of these countries are
opposed to Christianity. Notice, they are prepared for war. They
seem to come from every direction; north, south, east, and west.

On whether the horses and weapons are literal, see Eze. 39:9. God
will use Gog and all his allies as pawns in His larger plans for
Israel.

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:2

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 16:2

The First Vial: Boils

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image” Rev. 16:2

and there fell... Could not this happen literally, as it did in Egypt (Exo. 9:8-12)? It is only to come upon the people who have the mark of the beast and who worship his image. This proves its limitation to the kingdom of Antichrist inside the old Roman Empire territory.
sore... Greek: helkos, ulcer. Used here; Rev. 16:11; Luke 16:21. What kind of ulcers is not fully described, but they are characterized as "grievous" (Greek: poneros, evil, wicked).
The seven angels, each holding a vial (bowl), containing the judgments that are about to fall on the earth, they will cast forth their bitter judgments. They are obedient to the voice of God when He speaks: These bowls constitute what the Lord Jesus referred to as the "great distress" (Matt. 24:21), or the last 42 months of the Great Tribulation period.
Four of these seven judgments occurred literally in Egypt among the ten plagues. In addition, part of the 6th judgment; that of drying up the Euphrates River and producing frogs, was also literally fulfilled during the history of Israel. Frogs were generated as one of the plagues of Egypt, and both the Red Sea and Jordan River were rolled back so that God's people could walk forth on dry ground.
Therefore, nothing new will be transpiring when God dries up the Euphrates River in order that the kings of the East may march over on dry ground.
If the plagues of Egypt were literal, and they certainly were, why should we not expect these awful judgments likewise to be literal?

In the first bowl judgment people who followed the Antichrist received painful sores. Sores also come with the fifth bowl (Rev. 16:10-11).
This first vial is a repitition of the pleague of boils sent upon the Egyptians, Ex. 9:8-12. It is clear that this pleague falls upon only those people who have the mark of the beast and who worship him. As this is true of this pleague, it is also true of all the others, for the purpose is the same. It is clear that these seven pleagues will be from heaven, directly sent from God, and that they will have a supernatural cause, just like the ones sent upon the land of Egypt. It will be divine judgment, not nature's judgment. We cannot help but recognizing the supernatural in these plagues, for the vials contain the completion of the wrath of God.

When the angel pours out his vial, boils will immediately break out on the followers of the Antichrist. This humiliating and torturing malady will be upon the highest, as well as the lowest. They, no doubt, like Pharoah's magicians, will be unable to maintain an erect posture owing to the unbearable pains in the joints and limbs, and thus will be forced to lick the dust of the earth. Instead of their haunty pleasures and pursuits of evil they will seek incurable remedies for their motifying sores and corruption. This will be a great hindrance in their bowing the knee to worship the Antichrist.

The word "fell" refers to anything suddenly falling and shows that the plague is a sudden one causing men, before they can hardly realize it, to break out with sores and ulcers. The word "sore" is used only here and in Rev. 16:11 and Lk. 16:21. The words "noisome" and "grievous" are from two Greek words meaning "depraved, bad in nature" and "full of labours and pains in working mischief," and are used here to show that the ulcers will be very painful and corrupt. The expression "them which worship his image" literally is "those worshiping his image." Perhaps it means that, while in the act of prostration to the image, the sores will suddenly break out upon them as a sign of God's displeasure of their willful image worship and as punishment for their rejection of plain light concerning the will and worship of the true God, who is to heralded by angels as well as by men during this time.
