Ezekiel Chapter 39 Vs. 7

The Holy One of Israel

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not [let them] pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I [am] the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Eze. 39:7

will I make... Three Results of Armageddon:

I will make My holy name known in the midst of my people Israel

I will not permit them to pollute My holy name anymore

The heathen will know that I am the Holy One in Israel

I will not... Terrible calamities return people to God. Perhaps, that is why they happen. God's name is to be honored in the entire world. The name that God is called by, tells us of the character of God. Sometimes, He is called Truth, because that is what He is. Sometimes, He is called Abba, an endearing name for the Father. His name sometimes shows His eternity, such as Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End. He, alone, is God Almighty and so all the world will know.

We read that the name of Jesus brings worship. Philippians 2:10-11: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;" "And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

I am the... Through all this God will teach Israel that He is holy and is not to be profaned by their sins (cf. Eze. 36:22). Also the nations will see that He is the Holy One in Israel.

Daniel Chapter 1 Vs. 10

God had brought Daniel into favour

And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king. Dan. 1:10

for why should... Question 1. Next, Dan. 2:15.

The prince of the eunuchs is just sure that Daniel will look terrible, if he stops eating the food and wine the king has provided. When Daniel begins to look bad, the prince of the eunuchs will be in trouble with the king, and the king might have him killed.
The Hebrews, that were not in the palace, got very little to eat, and they were not very healthy looking. The king wanted his eunuchs to be the best looking people in the land.

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 17:10

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 17:10

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

Revelation 17

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. Rev 17:10

are seven kings... Representatives of the 7 great world empires (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and that of the Antichrist). Compare Daniel’s image in (Dan. 2:37-45).
five are fallen,... When John wrote this, the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Media-Persian and Greek empires had gone out of existence; Rome still existed, and the Antichrist’s empire had not yet come. When it does, it will be brief (12:12; 13:5), and he will end in perdition (verse 11; see verse 8).
This could speak of the empires of old such as the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, and the Greeks which make up the past kingdoms. The power to be, when this was written by John, was the Roman government which falls shortly thereafter and then is restored again in the ten common market nations banning together, revising the old Roman empire.
The seven heads of this beast mentioned, according to Tim LaHaye, are kings of this revised Roman Empire. The best definition is that they represent five kings up to the time of John; the sixth, Domitian, was the Roman king at the time of John, who then skips forward to the end time for the seventh head, which will bring the king of the revised Roman Empire. This Roman Empire was in great power; it fell, and will be revised under 10 kings. Then (we will see in verse 11), as this is describing the Antichrist who will be the eighth and final king who will rule the entire world (kingdom).
A rather interesting scripture regarding the Holy Spirit's description of the beasts that represent kingdoms appears in the book of Daniel. When one thinks of world governments, they take on a beautiful shape, as did king Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel. In his dream, the beast contained 4 different types of metals. Each section of that image represented one of the four coming world kingdoms which at that time were coming (Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon was already there and was the first of the four).
Two governments had already come and gone at that time which were Assyria and Egypt.
Those 4 beasts found (in Daniel 2:35), are explained as Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzar's dream for him. The four beasts in his dream is Babylon represented by head of gold. The two arms of silver represented the kingdoms of Media and Persia. The belly and thighs of brass (or bronze), represented Greece. And the fourth kingdom described the Roman Empire as the legs of iron. When God describes the coming world kingdoms, He uses beasts to symbolize them. Human beings look favorably on government as a great help to them, whereas God looks on government as a great hindrance to them, as does anyone who has studied history and observed government's bestial treatment of humanity.
Whether this scripture is describing kings or empires doesn't matter as they still mean the same which makes up the beast described here. The seven kingdoms or empires throughout history that have ruled over Israel and much of the known world are:
(1) Egypt;
(2) Assyria;
(3) Babylon;
(4) Medo-Persia;
(5) Greece;
(6) Rome - The Roman Empire existing at the time of John which ceased to exist;
(7) And then the seventh, the revised Rome which has not yet come;
(8) Then the eighth and final will be the Antichrist (see verse 8).
This revised Roman Empire is represented in the book of Daniel by the 10 toes in the image of (Daniel 2:41-44), and by the 10 horns on the fourth beast of Daniel (Dan. 7:7, 20, 24), and in Revelation by the 10 horns on the first Beast (13:1; 17:3, 12, 13). It will exist as a major power only a short while, since it will then give its authority to the Beast (11-13).

This view is also supported by Rev. 17:10, Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. John was writing from his point of view in which five prominent kings of the Roman Empire had already come and gone, and one was then on the throne (probably Domitian, who caused the persecution which put John on the island of Patmos). The identity of the seventh king, the one to come after John’s time, is unknown.

Ezekiel Chapter 39 Vs. 6

Destruction of Gog

And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD. Eze. 39:6

fire on Magog... It seems that Magog will be the chief hater of the Jews; it is thus singled out along with the maritime countries as the object of God’s wrath. This is perhaps why both Gog, the prince, and the land of Magog are mentioned in particular in Rev. 20:7-10 in connection with the last rebellion against God on earth, which will take place 1,000 years later.

and among them... This could be speaking of a war and bombs, possibly. Even though these are doing the fighting, the judgment is from God. God is just using them to bring the judgment. There will be no question that God is God.

God will also punish the homelands of the invaders: I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands. Sending fire implies destruction and military devastation (Eze. 30:8, 30:14,30:16; cf. Hos. 8:14; Amos 1:4, 1:7, 1:10, 1:14; 2:2, 2:5).

Daniel Chapter 1 Vs. 9

Daniel's Faithfulness
Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. Dan. 1:9

Now God had... Daniel’s case is similar to that of Joseph in some respects:

1. In being a captive from his own people (Gen. 37:1-36)

2. In receiving favor from his captors (Gen. 39:21 with Dan. 1:9)

3. In interpreting dreams (Dan. 1:17 with Gen. 37:5-11; 41:1-45)

4. In being exalted by rulers (Dan. 2:46-49; 5:29; 6:26 with Gen. 41:1-57)

5. In holy living (Dan. 1:8 with Gen. 39:12)

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 17:9

Revelation 17
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Rev 17:9

The seven heads... The 7 heads are 7 mountains, and the 7 mountains are 7 kings or kingdoms co-existent with Israel from her beginning to the 8th kingdom (Rev. 17:9-11), making the 8 kingdoms that will have persecuted Israel in the times of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24; Rom. 11:25).
Here 5 of the 7 kingdoms "are fallen (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece), and one is (the 6th, the old Roman Empire), and the other is not yet come (the 7th, made up of the 10 kingdoms that are yet to be formed inside the Roman Empire, Dan. 7:23-24); and when he (the 7th, or the Revised Roman Empire) cometh, he must continue a short space" (3 1/2 years, Rev. 12:12, 12:14). The beast "that was (had existed on earth before John’s day), and is not (on earth in John’s day), even he is the 8th (8th kingdom, succeeding the 7 preceding kingdoms), and is of the 7 (of one of the 7, the 5th or Greece, that had fallen before John’s day and becomes the 8th after the 6th and 7th kingdoms), and goeth into perdition" (Rev. 17:9-11).

The city of Rome was known throughout the ancient world as a city built on seven hills or mountains. John notes that the wise “mind”, will make the proper identification. The woman apparently represents idolatrous, anti-God civilization, centered at Rome but with worldwide influence (compare verse 15).
are seven mountains... The Greek words often used of hills (Matt. 5:1; 15:29; John 6:15; 8:1). It is true that the final worldwide system of false religion includes, but is not necessarily limited to Rome; but specifically, the 7 mountains in context likely symbolize the 7 kingdoms and their kings of verse 10.
We will see in this scripture that the city of seven hills is where this evil system has its headquarters. This is a marvel to the world who are not fully aware of the implications of the Bible it shows. Of course, the bride of Christ, the Christians who have their names written in the Lamb's book of life since the world began, are aware of all of this and why it happened.
The Antichrist is a copycat. Just as God has a trinity, so does the devil. God's trinity is: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Devil's trinity is: Antichrist, beast, and false prophet. You see, the false prophet has to be involved in leading a church the apostate church.
It is interesting to note that the Catholic church and the National Council of Churches united in the early 1950’s to make the church one physically. God does want us to be one, but not physically. He wants us to be one in the Spirit. There are people in all churches that will be saved as individuals. We must remove ourselves from the apostate church if possible.
This National Council of churches has come out with a Bible that waters Jesus down to the point that it indicates that Jesus is not God. This is very dangerous. They would have us believe that Jesus was just a man walking down here on earth. My Bible says He was Immanuel; “God with us” (Matthew 1:23).
It says (in 2 John 1:7) "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist."
In (John 1:14) we read "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
You see by all this, that Jesus was in fact God the Word, who came and inhabited the body of a man, so that it could be possible for His body to die on the cross for our sins. Anyone or anything that denies Jesus as God manifest in the flesh is not of God. The sad thing is, that most people proclaiming to know Jesus have accepted this new Bible and its teachings.
Every time you pick up a brochure on Rome, the very first thing they tell you is that they are the city of seven hills. Here we see that the headquarters for the ten common market nations is here as well. You see anything that you would like to believe here, is located in Rome. The "wisdom" of this is that anyone, who can read a brochure or hear an advertisement on Rome, knows what is spoken of here.
The identification of the seven heads as Rome shows that the Beast will initially have his major base of operations at Rome. It is thought by many studying the end times that after the Harlot has been killed, the beast will move his headquarters to the actual city of Babylon during the last three and one half years.

The angel informed John, This calls for a mind with wisdom (cf. Rev. 13:18). The truth that is being presented here symbolically requires spiritual insight to be understood, and the difficulty of correct interpretation is illustrated by the various ways it has been interpreted in the history of the church.
The angel informed John that the beast’s heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. Many ancient writers, such as Victorinus, who wrote one of the first commentaries on the Book of Revelation, identified the seven hills as Rome, often described as “the city of seven hills.” This identification has led to the conclusion this passage teaches that Rome will be the capital of the coming world empire. Originally Rome included seven small mountains along the Tiber River, and the hills were given the names Palatine, Aventine, Caelian, Equiline, Viminal, Quirimal, and Capitoline. Later, however, the city expanded to include the hill Janiculum and also a hill to the north called Pincian. While Rome is often referred to as having seven hills or mountains, different writers do not necessarily name the same seven mountains.
A close study of the passage does not support that conclusion that this refers to the city of Rome. Seiss, for instance, offers extensive evidence that the reference is to rulers rather than to physical mountains. This is supported by the text which explains, They are also seven kings (lit., “the seven heads are seven kings”). If the mountains represent kings, then obviously they are not literal mountains and refer not to a literal Rome but to persons.

Ezekiel Chapter 39 Vs. 5

Destruction of Gog

Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD. Eze. 39:5

upon the open... The open field refers to all the land of Israel and surrounding countries where the hosts of the armies of all nations under Antichrist will be mobilized, but mainly to the mountains of Israel (Eze. 39:17).

This speaks of the Lord destroying them, before they get to the cities.

Daniel Chapter 1 Vs. 8

Daniel's Faithfulness

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Dan. 1:8

Daniel purposed in his... It seems that Daniel was the spokesman for the others (Dan. 1:8, 1:11-17).
that he would... Evidently, there were certain things of the king’s table that had been forbidden by the law of Moses, hence he did not want to break the law and be defiled. It could be that the meat was not butchered properly (Lev. 3:17; 7:26; 17:10-14; 19:26) and that it was offered to idols (Exo. 34:15; 1Co. 10:20).

Revelation 17

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is” Rev. 17:8
beast that thou... Seven-Headed Ten-Horned Beast

1. A supernatural angel out of the abyss, as required in points 1-6 below
2. A mortal man, as proved in points 7- 46 below

45. Will have a throne and kingdom (Rev. 16:10)
46. Will league with Satan and demons in mobilizing nations (Rev. 16:13-16)

Fourteen Facts—the beast as a kingdom:
47. Is the 8th kingdom (Rev. 17:11)
48. Is to be dominated by the great whore until Antichrist comes to power over the 10 kingdoms (Rev. 17:1-7, 17:12-17)
49. Existed before John’s day (Rev. 17:8-11)
50. Was not in John’s day (Rev. 17:8-11)
51. One head is killed (Rev. 13:3)
52. The head will be made alive (Rev. 13:3-14)
53. Is revived again in the last days by Antichrist (Rev. 17:10-17; Dan. 7:24)
54. Succeeds 7 world empires (Rev. 17:9-11)
55. Five empires had fallen before John’s day—Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece (Rev. 17:10)
56. The 6th kingdom (Roman Empire) was in John’s day (Rev. 17:10)
57. The 7th kingdom (made up of the 10 kingdoms inside the Roman Empire territory) is not yet come (Rev. 17:10-17; Dan. 7:23-24)
58. The 7th must continue a short space before Antichrist comes (Rev. 17:10)
59. The 7th becomes the 8th kingdom when Antichrist gets full power over the 10 kingdoms (Rev. 17:9-17)
60. The 8th is one of the 7 kingdoms, that is, the 5th that had fallen before John’s day This is in harmony with the facts that the beast was before the 6th and 7th and is not during the 6th and 7th, and becomes the 8th after the 6th and 7th (Rev. 17:8-11).
Seven proofs the Antichrist is not from the abyss:
1. Only a person could be referred to in such statements as a beast coming from the abyss. A kingdom could not possibly come from such a place. This would mean that every person in the original kingdom would come back to live on earth again. This is not taught of one human being in Scripture, much less of thousands of people coming out to carry on with their original lives and kingdom. If only a person can be referred to, then it must be either an angel or a human being who is now confined to the abyss and will come out to fulfill this prophecy. It is not necessary to hold that the beast of the abyss must be a man brought back from the dead, or that the beast out of the abyss and the beast out of the sea must be the same person.
2. The Antichrist or beast out of the sea of humanity must be an ordinary mortal because he will die at Armageddon (Dan. 7:11; 8:8, 8:22, 8:25; 2Th. 2:8-9; Rev. 19:20). This would be impossible if he were some man resurrected and made immortal during his second lifetime on earth.
3. The doctrine of a resurrection of any man from corruption to become a mortal again and die again on earth in his second lifetime is not taught in Scripture (Heb. 9:27). Neither Judas, Antiochus Epiphanes, nor any other man is an exception to the law of dying only once and after this the judgment. One does not have to make the Bible contradict itself in order to find an explanation of all facts.
4. The doctrine of a reincarnation is not once mentioned in Scripture, so this would be impossible for any human being who ever lived on earth (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 20:11-15). To be reincarnated one would have to be born again in the flesh as a baby, grow to maturity, and go through every process in his previous lifetime. This is utterly unscriptural. The next time people are to live in bodies is in the resurrection when their own grown bodies will be brought forth (Dan. 12:2; John 5:28-29; 1Cor. 15:20-58; 1Th. 4:16; Phil. 3:21; Rev. 20:11-15).
5. The abyss is not the place of confinement for human beings who die in their one and only mortal lifetime. It is a place for confinement of demons and certain fallen angels (Luke 8:31; Rev. 9:1-21; 11:7; 17:8; 20:3, 20:7). Human souls that are righteous go to heaven at death (2Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:21-24; Heb. 12:23; Rev. 6:9-11). The wicked go to hell (Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 20:11-15. Therefore, no human being could ever come out of the abyss as the Antichrist.
6. There is no scripture to prove that Antichrist will be different from any other natural man in his lifetime as to his birth, death, etc. He will merely be used by satanic powers in the last days. It is not necessary for God or Satan to call anyone back from the dead to fulfill any purpose on earth. If some man in history could fulfill the prophecies then some man who has never died can fulfill them. No reincarnation or resurrection has been necessary for the operation of supernatural powers of either God or Satan at any time. The only thing necessary is the complete yieldedness to the operator.
7. That the Antichrist will be assassinated in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and then rise from the dead as an immortal being and an incarnation of Satan is unscriptural. The head "wounded to death" and revived again (Rev. 13:3) has no reference to Antichrist, but to one of the heads on the beast, which are all kingdoms and not people (Rev. 17:9-11). The Antichrist is merely the human head of the 8th kingdom. He is not any one of the 7 heads or 10 horns. They symbolize other things before he even comes (Dan. 7:23-24; Rev. 17:9-11). Antichrist will never be an incarnation of Satan, for we see the dragon as a separate person from the beast in all Scripture (2Th. 2:8-9; Rev. 13:1-18; 16:13-16; 20:10). Satan is an angel with his own body and could never be on the inside of any man physically (Luke 22:3).
The beast out of the abyss identified:
The beast out of the abyss is a satanic angel and not the human spirit of some dead man. He does not incarnate himself in the human Antichrist or beast out of the sea, but merely uses him as a tool to revive the 5th or Grecian kingdom as the 8th and last kingdom in the times of the Gentiles. This spirit ruled the old Grecian Empire, the 5th of the 5 kingdoms that had fallen before John’s day (Rev. 17:10). When his kingdom fell he was confined to the abyss where he remained during the 6th kingdom (the Roman Empire, which was the one in existence in John’s day) and where he has been ever since. He will be confined to the abyss until the 10 kingdoms are formed inside the Roman Empire to make the 7th kingdom of Rev. 17:10. He will then be loosed and use the Antichrist to revive the old Grecian Empire as the 8th kingdom of Rev. 17:11. This is what the angel meant when he said the beast was (had existed on earth before John’s day), and is not (on the earth in John’s day); and shall ascend out of the abyss and go to perdition (Rev. 17:8).
Kingdoms of this world have always been controlled by godly or satanic angels and wars on earth are lost or won as a result of battles in the heavenlies between the good and bad angels. God plans the rise and fall of certain kingdoms and Satan seeks to keep the prophetic Word from coming to pass (Isa. 24:21-23; 25:7; Dan. 10:13-21; 11:1; 12:1; Eph. 6:12; Rev. 12:7-12; 16:13-16). In Dan. 10:12-21; 12:1 we have the satanic prince of Persia, the prince of Grecia, Michael, Israel’s prince, and other angelic rulers mentioned.
He is the prince of Greece because:
1. The last visions of Daniel concern the Grecian Empire, its 4 divisions, and the rise of Antichrist out of one of them (Rev. 8:9,20-25; 11:1-45).
2. The Antichrist, the earthly head of the 8th kingdom (which is a revival of the 5th kingdom that had fallen before John’s day; ’s John 17:10), will come from the Syrian division of the old Grecian Empire (Dan. 8:9, 8:20-25; 11:36-45. If he comes from the old Grecian Empire and revives it, then it is definite that the spirit out of the abyss is the prince of Grecia of Dan. 10:20.
3. In Dan. 7:23-24 Antichrist uses one of the 10 kingdoms, the Syrian kingdom, to overthrow 3 others, that is, the other 3 divisions of the old Grecian Empire of Dan. 8:9, 8:20-25. This points to the prince of Grecia as the beast out of the abyss.
4. The body of the beast of Revelation is like a leopard (Rev. 13:2), which, in Dan. 7:6, symbolizes the old Grecian Empire, proving that the kingdom of Antichrist will be mainly Grecian in character and policy, as the Syrian division in Dan. 8:9-14, 8:20-25; 11:21-45. This identifies the beast of the abyss as the prince of Grecia.
5. In Joel 3:6 with Zec. 9:13 we have prophecies of the Grecian Empire in the last days under Antichrist, proving beyond doubt that the prince of Grecia is the spirit of the abyss. This revival of Greece will be the head healed that was wounded to death (Rev. 13:3, 13:12-14). The 8th kingdom will be the Revived Grecian Empire, not the Revised Roman Empire, which is the 7th head on the beast.
The beast out of the sea identified:
1. He is a man (Rev. 13:18; 2Th. 2:3). See points 7-46, above.
2. Who is he? At present he is unknown—not any man now prominent in world affairs.
3. When will he come? He will not come on the scene of action until after 10 kingdoms are formed inside the old Roman Empire territory (Dan. 7:23-24, and until after the rapture of the church (2Th. 2:7-8). He will come at the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week (Dan. 9:27; Rev. 6:1-2). Warning: any speculation regarding any man as the Antichrist before then is pure human guesswork and valueless.
4. Where does he come from? He will come from Syria, as proved in Dan. 7:23-24; 8:9, 8:20-25; 11:36-45.
5. What will he be called? The Antichrist.
6. How long is he to be here? For 7 years; 3 1/2 years getting power over the 10 kingdoms inside the Roman Empire territory (Dan. 7:23-24; 11:36-45); and 3 1/2 years as ruler over them (Rev. 13:5).
7. Where is he to reign? From Babylon the first 3 1/2 years, or during his rise to power (Isa. 14:4-17) and from Jerusalem the last 3 1/2 years (Dan. 9:27; 11:45; Mat. 24:15; 2Th. 2:3-4; Rev. 11:1-2).
8. What power will he have? He will receive power from Satan (Dan. 8:24; 11:38-39; 2Th. 2:8-12; Rev. 13:1, 13:4; 17:12-17). The spirit out of the abyss will be Satan’s agent in dominating the Antichrist (Rev. 11:7; 17:8).

Twenty-fold Power—He Will Have Power To:
1. Blaspheme God (Rev. 13:5-6; Dan. 7:8, 7:20, 7:25; 11:36)
2. Overcome saints (Rev. 15:2-4; 20:4-6)
3. Overcome Jews (Rev. 13:7; Dan. 7:21; 12:7)
4. Conquer nations (Rev. 13:7; Dan. 7:7-8, 7:19-24; 11:40-45)
5. Destroy mystery Babylon (Rev. 17:12-17)
6. Kill the two witnesses (Rev. 11:7)
7. Change times and laws (Dan. 7:25)
8. Understand mysteries (Dan. 8:23)
9.Do as he wills (Dan. 11:36)
10. Do miracles (Rev. 13:13; 2Th. 2:9)
11. Cause craft to prosper (Dan. 8:25)
12. Control money (Dan. 11:38-43)
13. Deceive many (Rev. 13:1-18; 2Th. 2:10)
14. Contract with Israel (Dan. 9:27)
15. Control religion (Rev. 13:1-18; Dan. 11:36)
16. Control lives of people (Rev. 13:12-18)
17. Control kings (Rev. 17:12-17)
18. Cause nations to fear (Rev. 13:4)
19. Fight against Christ (Rev. 19:19-21)
20. Reign for 42 months (Rev. 13:5)

I believe this mark indicates that the power given unto this group comes from the bottomless pit.
Here it is speaking of the reforming of the old Roman empire. The old Roman empire will have been reformed by the ten common market nations in Europe today. In my opinion, these "ten horns" are these ten common market nations. The headquarters for these ten nations is in Rome. In 1954 the 10 Member States were: Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Go to chapter 13 and re-read the first 2 verses and the descriptive comments of those two verses for an accurate description of what the beginning of verse eight's meaning is.
This word "perdition" means ruin, loss, or damnable. This Roman empire was in great power, it fell, and then revived again in the ten nations. It is a wonder how Berlin was divided into two parts after World War II. This was done so the line of the old Roman empire would be the same. Of course, the governments of U.S. and Russia did not know why they did this, but it established the old territory anyhow.
Whose names were not written in the book of life. The false religious system of the end times will be very convincing and popular among the unsaved, but those who have committed themselves to Christ will understand that anything idolatrous is not of God.

The fact that the beast was, now is not, and will come up in the future is another indication of what was introduced in Rev. 13:3. The supernatural survival and revival of both the world ruler and his empire will impress the world as being supernatural and will lead to worship of the beast and Satan. (On the book of life see 3: 5; 13:8. Also cf. Rev. 20:12, 20:15; 21:27.)

Genesis Chapter 49 Vs. 8-12

Lionlike Dominance of Judah

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Gen 49:10

sceptre... Hebrew: shebet, translated tribe and tribes 140 times; rod 34 times; staff (2Sa. 23:21; 1Ch. 11:23); darts (2Sa. 18:14); and sceptre (Gen. 49:10; Num. 24:17; Psm. 45:6; Isa. 14:5; Eze. 19:11, 19:14; Amos 1:5, 1:8; Zec. 10:11). It means the sceptre of government and rule shall not depart from Judah; i.e., Judah shall be the ruling tribe and from him shall come the Messiah who shall rule eternally and bring obedience to the people.
Lawgiver... Hebrew: chaqaq, translated lawgiver (Gen. 49:10; Num. 21:18; Deut. 33:21; Psm. 60:7; 108:8; Isa. 33:22); appointed (Pro. 8:29); decree (Pro. 8:15; Isa. 10:1); and governors (Jdg. 5:9, 5:14). The true meaning is, "the kingly sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor the lawgiver’s staff from between his feet until Shiloh come" (Gen. 49:10). Judah is called God’s lawgiver (Psm. 60:7; 108:8; cp. Isa. 33:22; Jas. 4:12). Some versions read "a leader’s staff," and others "a commander’s staff."
until Shiloh come... Judah’s dominion lasts until:
1. Shiloh comes (Gen. 49:10). Shiloh is an epithet of the Messiah and can have no other meaning. It refers to the second coming of Christ who will fulfill the next part of the verse.
2. He gathers the people (Gen. 49:10). Unto Him (Shiloh) shall the people gather; that is, at Christ’s second coming Israel will be gathered from the four quarters of the earth (Isa. 11:10-12; 60:8-9; 66:19-21; Eze. 37:1-28; Mat. 24:31). The Messiah will rule Israel (Isa. 9:6-7; Luke 1:32-33) and all nations when He comes (Dan. 2:44-45; 7:13-14, 7:27; Zec. 14:1-21; Rev. 11:15; 20:4-6; 22:5).
Genesis 49:8-12

Oracle of Jacob

In this oracle Jacob predicted a fierce lionlike dominance of Judah over his enemies and over his brothers who would praise him. A wordplay was made here on the name Judah which means “praise” (cf. Gen. 29:35 3, NIV. marg.). The oracle pivots on the word until (Gen. 49:10). When the Promised One who will rule the nations appears, the scene will become an earthly paradise. These verses anticipate the kingship in Judah culminating in the reign of Messiah (cf. the tribe of Judah, Rev. 5:5), in which nations will obey Him.

The NASB renders the third line of Gen. 49:10, “Until Shiloh comes.” Many sources, including the Targum (Aram. paraphrase of the OT), see “Shiloh” as a title of the Messiah. However, the Hebrew word šı̂lōh should be rendered “whose it is,” that is, the scepter will not depart from Judah… until He comes whose it (i.e., the scepter) is (or as the NIV. puts it, to whom it belongs). Similar words in Eze. 21:27, “until He comes to whom it (the crown, Eze. 21:26) rightfully belongs” were addressed to the last king of Judah.

With the coming of Messiah there will be paradise-like splendor. Kidner says that every line of Gen. 49:11-12 “speaks of exuberant, intoxicating abundance: it is the golden age of the Coming One, whose universal rule was glimpsed in Gen. 49:10”. For Judah, grapevines will be so abundant that they will be used for hitching posts; wine will be as abundant as wash water. In Judah, people’s eyes will be red or bright from wine and their teeth will be white from drinking much milk. These are picturesque ways of describing the suitability of Judah’s territory for vineyards. Such opulence will be evident in the Millennium (Isa. 61:6-7; 65:21-25; Zec. 3:10).

Ezekiel Chapter 39 Vs. 4

Destruction of Gog

Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that [is] with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and [to] the beasts of the field to be devoured. Eze. 39:4

This speaks of them dying in such vast numbers, that there is no way, until this is over, to bury them. Their bodies will be eaten of the vultures of the air. Even the beasts passing by will eat their carcasses. There will be no one left to stop them.

Having brought them against the mountains of Israel (Eze. 39:2; cf. Eze. 38:8), God will weaken them (Eze. 39:3) and strike them down on the mountains of Israel. This once-mighty army will then be food for birds and… wild animals.

Gog and his mighty armies will be destroyed at this time, a fact which proves the whole two chapters (38-39) refers to the leading up to Armageddon and the 2nd advent of Christ.

Daniel Chapter 1 Vs. 7

Children of Judah

Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego. Dan. 1:7

gave names... Giving names to captives or foreign slaves was a sign of their being put under subjection (Gen. 41:45; 2Ki. 23:34; 24:17).
