God's Sovereign Choice
That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. Rom 9:2
heaviness
and continual... Sorrow
and continued pangs.
It
is a very good idea that any time you hear something you are not sure
of, that you confirm it by the Word of God. That’s what the
Bereans’ did in Acts.
Acts
17:10-11 “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by
night unto Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the
Jews.” “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that
they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Paul affirmed his deep anguish of heart over the rejection of the gospel by the vast majority of Jews.
