Prophetic Times To The End - Daniel - Part 14

End Times – Daniel 11, pt 2

Prophetic Times to the End

Second World Empire Down to the Man of Sin

Dan. 11:11-13 Gabriel describes to Daniel that the king of the south will be enraged and go forth and fight with the king of the north. (King of the south at this time is Ptolomey IV Philopator 221-204 B.C.) Then Ptolomy IV will raise a great army that army is successful at first and slays many thousands, but will be given over to the king of the north Antiochus III.

Dan 11:14 Gabriel tells Daniel that in this period of time that many will rise up against the king of the south (at this period of time this is Ptolomy V Epiphanes, 203-181 B.C.) there will be violent ones among your people Daniel, who will also lift themselves up (Jewish Zelots) in order to fulfill the vision, but they also will be taken down. Gabriel is telling us here that man will not be allowed to interfere with the divine plan and the vision will be fulfilled as set forth in scripture, the “times of the Gentiles” will run its course.

Dan. 11:15 Gabriel explains that the king of the north will come (at his time period Seleucus IV Philopator is king 187-175 B.C.) he will build up a siege mount; a cutting of non fruit trees for fortifications, [Ref. Deut. 20:19,20]. He will capture a well-fortified city; for the forces of the south will not stand, not even their choicest troops, for there will be no-strength to stand against anyone.

Dan. 11:16 Gabriel tells Daniel that the king of the north who comes against the king of the south will do as he pleases, (this king of the north is Antiochus III the Great 273-187 B.C.) and no one will withstand him; he will stay for a period of time in the beautiful land (Palestine), with desolation in his hand.

Dan. 11:17 Gabriel tells us that Antiocdus III south will arrange peace between Egypt and Syria by giving his daughter to marry Ptolemy V Epiphanes of Egypt. Gabriel says she will not stand by him and the two nations will not ally.

Dan. 11:18 Gabriel describes Antiochus III turn toward the coast lands of Israel and has some success until a commander (this is Cornelieus Scipio of the Roman Army) stops Antiochus scorn against Rome by repaying Antiochus with Roman scorn. Cornelieus actually is demanding that Antiochus turn his Army back toward home, is told by Antiochus that he will think about it and let him know. Cornelieus draws a circle around Antiochus in the dirt and says decide before you leave the circle.

Dan. 11:19 Gabriel shows us that Antiochus III returns to his home land, and he dies one year later. Antiochus dreams of reuniting Alexanders Empire under his authority never is realized.

Dan. 11:20 Gabriel tells us of Antiochus III son Seleucus IV Philopator 187-176 B.C. Gabriel says he is one who will heavily tax his people to pay Rome, he is poisoned by his treasurer Heliodorus. Here we see he dies neither in anger or in battle.

Dan. 11: 21 Gabriel tells Daniel that in his place will arise a despicable person, (This is Antiochus IV Epiphanes 175-164 B.C) on whom the honor of kingship has not been conferred. The throne rightly belonged to Demetrius Sator, but Antiochus IV Epiphanes seized the throne and had himself proclaimed king. He did not come to the throne by rightful succession but he seized it through intrigue.

Dan. 11:22 We are told by Gabriel that this king of the north gains acceptance by turning aside an invading army, he also deposed Onias III, the high priest, called here the prince of the covenant.

Dan. 11:23 Gabriel goes on to further relate how despicable a person Antiochus IV Epiphanes is with his practice of deception. He actually gains power with the help of a very small number of people.

Prophetic Times To The End - Daniel - Part 13

End Times – Daniel 11, pt 1

Prophetic Times to the End

Second World Empire Down to the Man of Sin

Dan. 11:1 Daniel again gives us the date of his writing by the hand of the Holy Spirit: Daniel tells us that Darius the Mede was in his first year of reign 539 B.C. in Babylon. Darius ruled this region under the authority of Cyrus the Persian [Ref. Dan 9:1]. Daniel say’s he stood up and was of a source of strength and a protection for Darius.

Dan. 11:2 Daniel tells us that Gabriel relates the truth to him. He tells us that three more kings are going to arise for Persia. Then a fourth will gain far more riches, and will stir up the whole realm of Greece.

Dan. 11:3 Gabriel says that a mighty king will arise, he will rule with great authority and do as he pleases. The mighty king here refers to Alexander the Great who died in 323 B.C. [Ref. Dan. 7:6; 8:4-8; 8:21-22].

Dan. 11:4 Gabriel relates to us that shortly after this mighty king arises to power, his kingdom is divided up into four realms, (after Alexander’s death), (in the Hebrew/Chaldean text this is the same as or actually refers to “the four winds of heaven” which tells us that the hand of God has taken down and set up new kingdoms to propel His (God’s divine plan for man). Gabriel goes on to say that none of Alexander’s descendants will reign, nor will any of these kingdoms have the authority with which Alexander exhibited; Gabriel goes on to say that Alexander’s sovereignty will be uprooted to others instead of Alexander’s descendants.

Dan. 11:5 Gabriel goes on to explain to Daniel and us that the king of the south will grow strong; this king is Ptolemy 1 Soter and will rule Egypt. The explanation goes on to say that one of his princes which will gain ascendancy over him and obtain dominion; Gabriel tells Daniel and us this prince dominion will be a great dominion. The prince is Seleucus 1 Nicator ruled in Babylon in 321 B.C.

Dan. 11:6 Gabriel tells Daniel that after some years an alliance will be formed, with the daughter of the king of the south, (Berenice). This king of the south at this time is Ptolemy II Philadelphus, (ruled 285-246 B.C). This king will come to the king of the north to carry out an equitable agreement. Gabriel says Berenice will not retain her strength of arm or power, (berenice was murdered by Antiochus’s II ex-wife Laodice) nor will the king of the north Antiochus II remain with his arm or power, (Antiochus II is poisoned by Laodice). Gabriel goes on to say she (Berenice) was handed over along with those who brought her in, and the one who sired her, as well as he who supported her. This all refers to her death and means those who brought her in, left or were run out of prominence or power.

Dan. 11:7 Gabriel tells Daniel that one of Berenice descendants will arise in her fathers place. This would be Ptolemy III Euergetes, (he rules from 246-222 B.C.) and he will bring his army against the Syrian army and the king of the north Seleucus II Callinicus is defeated and Laodice is put to death. Euergetes king of the south returns to Egypt with many riches.

Dan. 11:8 Gabriel informs Daniel that Euergetes will also take out of Syria their gods with their precious vessels of silver and gold back to Egypt. Euergetes on his part will refrain from standing against the king of the north for some years.

Dan. 11:9 Gabriel then explains that the king of the north will wage war against the king of the south, but is unsuccessful and returns to Babylon in Syria.

Dan. 11:10 Gabriel tells Daniel that the king of the north sons will wage war with great forces; (these are Seleucus III Ceraunus, and Antiochus III the Great). Antiochus III is successful in driving the Egyptians who had occupied a good portion of Syria back to a location at the southern borders of Israel in a campaign between 219-217 B.C.

Prophetic Times To The End - Daniel - Part 12

End Times Daniel 10 pt. 3

Conflict: holy and unholy angels

Dan. 10:16 Daniel is astonished, he says one with a likeness of sons of man touched his lips; then Daniel opened his mouth and spoke, and said to the angel who was standing before him, Daniel said “O my lord, (like we would address someone today as sir) Daniel as a result of the vision given says my pains have come upon me, (Daniel was experiencing anguish) Daniel stress level is consuming his strength. This is due to understanding of the sufferings his people will have to undergo until the time of retribution is over according to the vision given.

Dan. 10:17 Daniel asks a question of his visitor out of respect to him, Daniel wants to know how he should be able to speak with a servant of God with such high esteem that Daniel sees in him. Daniel says for himself there remains yet no strength in him nor any breath been left in him at present. Daniel was left totally debilitated and gasping for breath out of the understanding of the vision from God about the coming sufferings of his people.

Dan. 10:18 Daniel tells us that the one with likeness of sons of man in appearance touched him again and strengthened him. To meet Daniels need the angel quieted the alarm in Daniels heart, and strengthened him physically and emotionally allowing Daniel to be ready to receive the message yet to come.

Dan. 10:19 the angel said to Daniel, “O man of desirability in the presence of God the Father, Daniel do not be afraid. Peace be with you Daniel; take courage and be courageous!” Daniel said, as soon as the angel spoke to him, he received strength and said, “May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Dan. 10:20 The angel said to Daniel, “Do you Daniel understand why I (angel) came to you? Gabriel the angel says he has to return and contend with his satanic counterpart the prince of Persia and he must be ready for the prince of Greece another of Satan’s demons. What Gabriel will have to contend with is about to come on the scene as in the Plan of God the kingdom of Medo-Persia is about to expire and the kingdom of Greece to have dominion. The angel Gabriel told Daniel God’s plan for Israel under Persia and Greece and for on later in the Tribulation and the Millennium. For Daniel was living under the exile in Babylon at present and only need to have the times yet explained.

Dan. 10:21 Gabriel said, “However, I have revealed what is inscribed in the writing of truth to you Daniel. Gabriel tells Daniel that the prince of Daniels people, Michael firmly stands with him against Israel’s enemies until the end of the “times of the gentiles.” Michael, as being your prince Daniel, in this verse tells us that he has a special relationship with the Nation Israel under God’s divine Plan.

Prophetic Times To The End - Daniel - Part 11

End Times Daniel 10 pt. 2

Conflict: holy and unholy angels

Dan. 10:11 Daniels visitor said to him, “O Daniel , man of preciousness, Daniel is to understand the words that the angel is about to tell him, and upon your standing, the angel is saying because of your preciousness with God, I (the angel) have been sent to you.” Daniel says now when the angel spoke these words to him, he (Daniel) finished standing up still trembling. [ref. Job. 4:14,15]

Dan. 10:12 The angel then said to Daniel, “Do not be afraid Daniel for from the first day of your prayer and supplications and your setting your heart (mind) on understanding, you humbled yourself before God the Father. Daniel your words were heard, and I (angel) have come in response to your prayer to God the Father.

Dan. 10:13 The angel tells Daniel that the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing opposite of him, contending against him for twenty-one days. The prince of the kingdom of Persia would be Satan or one of his chief demons. The angel said to Daniel that Michael one of the chief princes, came to help him, for he (the angel) had been left there with the Kings of Persia. We can see from this that even though Satan is the ruler of the age “the times of the Gentiles” God the Father has his influence upon the rulers of the land appointed for their time of rule.

Dan. 10:14 The angel says, “now I have come to give you Daniel, an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet.”( Time of the end) So we see here that the angel is telling Daniel that he has come to give Daniel his hearts desire. Daniel in his prayers wants to know for his people’s sake and for the Lords glory what was needed before God, for Daniel’s people to receive God’s grace and mercy.

Dan. 10:15 Daniel says that when the angel had spoken to him of these words, he set his face toward the ground and became speechless. Daniel had been weakened at the appearance of the angelic visitor, now Daniel was also overwhelmed at learning of the angelic…demon conflict that delayed the answer of his prayers. [ref.Eph.6:12]

End Times Revealed - Part One

END TIMES REVEALED - PART ONE

Rumblings being heard in the Middle East that could have the most dramatic of repercussions, and for none more than for the church today. In studying Isaiah and other of the prophets, not only do we find the alliances that the Bible speaks of in reference to the time of tribulation, but we find that the attitudes of those nations that are named are in accord with what the prophets said they would be; written a millennia ago.

The Arab nations seem to be coming together in a determined spirit, knowing that now is the time that somehow, peace must be made between Israel and the Palestinians. A recent conference in Annapolis, attended by representatives of forty-four nations, began when a meeting was called for between Arab heads of state. From this evolved another Annapolis meeting. Saudi Arabia did offer a particular plan, but was rejected because it did not issue a right of the Palestinian refugees to return to land lost when Israel became a state (1948). Israel has made her final offer, She has stated that she would withdraw to her pre-1967 borders, excepting for East Jerusalem. She has nothing more to offer. With what we are seeing happen at this time in our lives, our minds must look to the prophetic calendar.

The rapture of the true church is the next scheduled event that will take place for Christians during this time period we live in today, called the “Church Age“. Nothing will precede it for the church. When this age ends at the rapture, God will again be dealing with Israel nationally and this will usher in what is known as the tribulation period. The seventieth week of Daniel’s “seventy weeks” will begin, the things that tell as the times and the seasons are upon us, these are the circumstances on the ground in the Middle East presently. We need to look at the book of Daniel for the prophetic outline of the World from that time to the time of Christ and the cross, and some to the time of the anti-chirst, who will come upon the scene during the tribulation period, make a covenant with Israel and then will break that covenant after 3.5 years of the 7 years that this end times ruler will have dominion of the world. After the first 3.5 years of relative peace for Israel has come to an end the world will enter into what is known as The Great Tribulation period comprised of the last 3.5 years of the 7 years. At the end of the great tribulation period Christ Jesus the King of Kings will return to earth at what is known as the second advent and rescue Israel and the rest of the world from the anti-christ, which will end the “times of the Gentiles” domination of the world and Christ will take Israel the nation of priests into what is known as the Millennial Kingdom as their King and reign for 1,000 years. The church was not known to the Old Testament prophets. Read Daniel as you follow this outline to come to the understanding of these scriptures. I have also set up a Bible study platform on my web site that is going through Daniel chapter 7 through chapter 12. Please join me and others in this Bible study we have set the study up in a format that people can ask questions and get answers to their questions at any time during the study process, so please join us in learning the Word of God and understanding what God has for us to learn in these “end times”

CHAPTER 1: a Introductory; b. - The moral condition suited to enlightenment in the way’s and counsels of God. C. - Separation maintained “The undefiled in the way”

CHAPTER 2: a Babylon vs. 38; b - Medo-Persia vs. 39 first half; c - Greece vs. 39 last half; - d Rome vs. 40.

Times of the Gentiles, Israel under God’s judgment and protection until the promised land be cleansed.

CHAPTER 3: a - enforced worship of the Image; b - a preserved remnant; c - Typical of the abomination of desolation; d- and the faithful remnant

CHAPTER 4: Nebuchadnezzar humbled. Typical of the subjugation of all Gentile power.

CHAPTER 5: a - mene mene tekel upharsin - Babylon destroyed; b. Medo Persia succeeds to World empire; c - Typical of the impiety and doom of gentile power.

CHAPTER 6: a - Daniel is preserved in the lions den- Typical of the Lord’s care of the Israelite remnant; b - A typical of how the remnant of Judah will find themselves in the day’s of the Antichrist.

CHAPTER 7: Basically covers the same ground as chapter 2. In chapter 2 we see as the King saw a stately statue of a man representing kingdoms. In chapter 7 we see as Daniel saw in God’s light the same empires, he sees them as four ravenous wild beasts, so brutal and so monstrous, that no actual creatures known to man could actually set them forth.

CHAPTER 8: a - The Grecian little horn--We have outlined for our learning the rise, progress, decline and fall, emphasizing the truth that “righteousness exalted a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people”

CHAPTER 9: a - The prophecy of the seventy weeks; b - 483 years to Christ coming and rejection

CHAPTER 10, 11, 13: Prophetic history in detail
10 - Angelic ministry and “World-Rulers of this Darkness” (Eph 6:12)
11 - world Empire passes to Greece. Wars of the Ptolemies (Egypt) and Seleucida (Syria).

After going through Daniel and his prophecy to the time of Christ Work on the cross, we enter what has been foretold by Christ and his Disciples and Apostles in scripture to the Church our present Age from Cross to rapture of the Church. (Eph. 3:3-11). When Christ went upon the cross the lamb slain for all people the last of any prophecy was fulfilled until the church rapture has occurred as Paul explains in 1 Cor. 15:51-53; Phil. 3:20, 21; 1 Thes. 4:13-18.

As to the rapture of the church we have no time line. There is no scripture specific, there are some hints as to the times and the seasons as we saw in the Book of Daniel. As the angel told to Daniel or as Daniel was to overhear of the angelic conversation a sign to the time of the end could be ease of travel around the world, (as we can see is ever so upon us as people can have breakfast in L.A. and Dinner in Tokyo after an evening meeting and be back in L.A for breakfast the next morning). Expansion of knowledge will be extreme. As we also have upon us the internet is so expansive and full of knowledge of anything you would want to know that the time is such that the church could experience rapture at any moment, could also be 100 yrs, 1000 yrs, we just don’t know. But we do know that this must happen before the beast or the anti-christ can be made known to the world.

Prophetic Times To The End - Part Ten

The Vision of the Glory of God

Dan. 10:1 Again Daniel was telling us what year he wrote this prophecy. This was written in the Third year of reign of Cyrus king of Persia 536 B.C. Daniel says that a message was revealed to him and that the Persians called him by the name Belteshazzar; Daniel tells us that he knows that the message is true (factual, truth, word revealed by God) and revealed at a time of great conflict, (of warfare), Daniel understood the words God spoke and had an understanding of the vision.

Dan. 10:2 Daniel says, that, in those days because of the understanding of God’s word and going through the vision he had been mourning for his people and himself for three entire weeks.

Dan. 10:3 Daniel relates to us that he fasted during this entire three weeks, he says, I did not eat any tasty food, nor meat or wine entered his mouth. He did not use the ointment of custom at all, this was done out of respect for God the Father in praise and adoration.

Dan. 10:4 Daniel here is giving us a reference to the Jewish calendar. Daniel says on the 24th day of the first month, (Israel’s religious calendar began in Nisan, which was spring. The first three feasts took place in the first month of Nison. These were Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits. Nisan or Abib refers to March-April). Daniel explains that he was by the banks of the great river, the Tigris.

Dan. 10:5 Daniel lifted his eyes and looked, he saw that a certain man dressed in fine linen, (what Daniel saw was Jesus Christ before him, this is called a Theophanies, [ref. Gen. 12:7] these are pre-incarnate appearances of God the Son, either in angelic or human form, by manifested glory [ref. Ezk. 1], or in a manner as not described [ref. Gen. 17:1]). Daniel goes on to say, Jesus was girded at the waist by a belt of pure gold of Uphaz. This is His priestly attire. [ref. Rev. 1:13]

Dan. 10:6 Daniel explains further, that, his visitor’s body was like beryl. His face shown like lightening, His eyes were like flames of torches, His arms and feet gleamed like burnished bronze, and the sound of His words like the sound of a roaring. [ref. Rev. 1:15]
Daniel saw something of the glory of the heavens reflected in the one who visited him, angels, who dwell in the presence of God who is light, are themselves clothed with light. [ref. Rev. 1:14-16; 19:12] Beryl is a yellow serpentine color which surrounded the body of Daniels visitor.

Dan. 10:7 Daniel says, he alone saw the vision, while there were others with him at the time. Daniel says a great dread fell on them, when they saw the tremendous bright light coming upon them, they ran away with fear to hide themselves.

Dan. 10:8 Daniel tells us he was left alone and saw the great vision of God; Daniel tells us that great stress was left upon him from what was taking place. It drained all of his strength. Daniels natural olive complexion, he says, turned to a deadly pallor (very pale). He could not regain his strength even in his trying to do so.

Dan. 10:9 Daniel says he heard the sound of his visitor’s words; and immediately after hearing the words, Daniel fell in a deep sleep on his face, with his face to the ground he lay.

Dan. 10:10 Daniel is astonished, he says, a hand touched me, and he became trembling, trying to get to his hands and knees.

Prophetic Times To The End - Part Nine

Dan. 9:19 Daniel’s prayer continues, he says, hear and forgive, listen and take action, Lord God for your sake, Heavenly Father, do not delay, because your city and your people are called by your name have compassion on us.

Dan. 9:20 Daniel tells us while he was speaking and praying, confessing his sins and the sins of the people of Israel, Daniel was presenting prayer and supplications before the Lord God on behalf of God’s Holy temple, Gods dwelling place among His people.

Dan. 9:21 Daniel tells us that while he was speaking in prayer, (this verse confirms the fact that the angel Gabriel provided the explanations of the dreams in Chapter 7 of the book of Daniel), that Gabriel came to him in his weariness of the extensive prayer and supplication Daniel was petitioning before God the Father. Daniel goes on to say it was about the time for the evening offering, when,

Dan. 9:22 Daniel says, that Gabriel gave him instructions, and had conversation with him. Gabriel said, “O Daniel”, I have come to tell you to give you insight and understanding.

Dan. 9:23 Daniel says, that Gabriel explained that God the Fathers command was issued at the beginning of Daniels supplications. Gabriel tells Daniel that he “Daniel” is highly esteemed, for Daniel should give heed to this message and gain understanding of the vision given to Daniel by God the Father.

Dan. 9:24 Gabriel tells Daniel that seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin (Ref. Ex.29:33) (That which makes atonement for sin), to make for everlasting righteousness, (when the time of transgression is finished) to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy places. (All of which Daniels prayers and petitions to God the Father have been).

Dan. 9:25 Gabriel says to Daniel, that, Daniel is to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (Ref. Neh.2) (Is the only mention or decree in scripture authorizing the rebuilding of the city, this decree was issued in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes in 445 B.C.), until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; (from the date 445 B.C. as a beginning, the first sixty-nine weeks reach to “Messiah the Prince”). (Reference to Jesus Christ first advent) The city will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in “times of distress”. (Refers to the tribulation period)

Dan. 9:26 Gabriel tells Daniel, that, then after sixty-two weeks of time the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, (Christ’s first advent will be “cut off” and will not obtain any of His regal glory ( Refers to the fact that Christ the Messiah of Israel will be rejected by the people and His kingdom will be established during the Millennial period ), at this time secondly the rebuilt city and sanctuary will again be destroyed “by the people” of the “prince who is to come” will accomplish this destruction in 70 A.D. The “prince who is to come” is the little horn who will arise out of the ten nations of the revived Roman Empire at a future time even from this writing. Gabriel tells Daniel that the end will come with completeness but that until the end comes there will be wars, and desolations determined through this period of time down through to the end of the ages of what is called the end of the “times of the Gentiles.”

Dan. 9:27 Gabriel tells Daniel, that, the beast will make a firm and absolute covenant with the nation Israel for one week, (this one week is the seventieth week, the last week of Daniels prophecy and the end of the reign of the Gentiles), but in the middle of the week the beast will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; (remember our time, times, and a half time from vs. 25 of the seventh chapter of Daniel which=three and one half years. Daniel is being told that in the middle of this time period of the seventieth week the beast will break his covenant with Israel, and forcible interruptions of the Jewish ritual of worship by the roman prince, the anti-christ. He will introduce “abominations” that render God’s sanctuary desolate. Gabriel goes on to say after the beast makes all things completely desolate, even until a complete destruction, (this refers to the entire levitiacal system, which tells us that Israel will have restored that system in the first half of the seventieth week, which also should tell us that the “Church” must have been “caught up” at the time of the “End of the Gentiles”). [Ref. 1Thess. 4:17; 1Cor. 15:51-53]. For the beast is now “passing off” as the world’s rightful king, god, and Israel’s prince of peace, who will then turn against Israel and become her destroyer and defiler. This also tells us that the seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy, yet unfulfilled, must likewise be fulfilled literally. Gabriel says, “The one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” (Jesus Christ the rightful king will bring down the anti-christ forever).
The beasts end will come, as God has decreed the beasts end will come, “poured out on him, along with the false prophet he will be cast into the lake of fire, (reserved for them and Satan), when Christ returns to the earth wages war with the anti-christ defeats him and then Christ sets up the Millennial kingdom on earth. [Ref. Rev.19:20; Dan. 7:11,26].
