Book of Hosea Chapter 7 Vs. 7

 WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES

They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. Hos. 7:7

all their kings... Four of Israel’s final 6 kings were murdered by usurpers.

Anyone who opposed them, they removed from authority. The judges and prophets were not supposed to be subject to the king, or the people, but they have all been done away with. There is no one to cry out to God for the people, when the religious leaders are removed. Sometimes people have fallen so far, it is difficult for them to reach out to God. This was certainly the case here.

there is none... All of them glow like an oven, and devour their rulers: all their kings have fallen, without one of them calling on Me.

The royal birthday was celebrated with drunken orgies, and the national religion had become a confused mixture of Gentile superstition and the old Hebrew faith.

Because the royal court of Israel was filled with such murderers, the kingship frequently changed hands. Throughout this period of palace revolt and regicide no one bothered to look to the Lord, the true King of Israel and her only Source of national stability.
