The Glory of the Lord Fills the Temple
This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. Eze 43:12
Upon the top... We saw in a previous lesson, that almost a mile square around the house of God was to be holy. No vile thing was to come inside of that area. This whole mountain would be holy, because of the presence of God upon the mountain.
Another reason in sharing the design with the nation was to motivate the people to return to God and rebuild the temple: so that they may be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations. Though this prophecy was not fulfilled after the return from the Babylonian Captivity (and thus awaits a future fulfillment), the potentiality for fulfillment was there.
