My
Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 20:1
Before
Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray,
something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and
they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear
His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but
most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were
doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do
not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of
you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you
heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes
many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to
sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled
with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your
time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you
and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the
rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you
need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions
for you.
The Second Coming of
Christ
Revelation
20
The
Millennium – The Thousand Years and After
In Rev. 20:1-15 we have the expulsion of Satan from the earth, the Millennial reign of Christ and His saints, Satan's post-Millennial career and doom, and the final judgment.
The
Expulsion of Satan from the Earth
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. Rev. 20:1
having the key... We can assume from this that Jesus has turned the key to the bottomless pit over to this specific angel and has given him power and authority for this job.
the bottomless pit... The place where demons are incarcerated pending their final sentencing to the lake of fire (see 9:1; 2 Pet. 2:4).
and a great... This "great chain" in this angel's hand, shows the power God has given him over the devil for this task, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended.
The Binding Of Satan (Rev. 20:1-3)
Rev.
20:1-15 begins with the familiar phrase, And I saw an angel (cf. Rev.
7:2; 8:2; 10:1; 14:6; 18:1; 19:17). The “and” with which this
chapter begins suggests that it continues the sequence of events
begun in Rev. 19:1, which is introduced with the words “after
this.” In Rev. 19:1-21 the Greek has “and” at the beginnings of
15 verses (but it is omitted in the NIV in Rev. 19:4; 19:8; 19:10-11;
19:13-16, and Rev. 19:21 and is trans. “then” in Rev. 19:5-6;
19:9, and Rev. 19:19 and “but” in Rev. 19:20). The use of the
word “and” (kai)
often indicates action that follows in logical and/or chronological
sequence. Accordingly there is no reason why Rev. 20:1-15 should not
be considered as describing events which follow Rev. 19:1-21. “And”
(kai)
continues throughout Rev. 20:1-15, beginning each verse except Rev.
20:5. There is thus no linguistic or grammatical suggestion that
these events are anything other than events following the second
coming of Christ and occurring in sequence.
In
addition to the grammar which connects these incidents, there is also
the causal connection of the events which follow naturally from the
fact that Christ will have returned to the earth. In Rev. 19:1-21
these events include casting the beast and the false prophet into the
lake of burning sulfur and destroying their armies. Having disposed
of the world ruler and the false prophet as well as the armies, it
would be only natural that Christ should then turn to Satan himself,
as He does in Rev. 20:1-15.
