My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 20:2

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 20:2

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

Revelation 20

The Expulsion of Satan from the Earth

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, Rev. 20:2

he laid hold... Greek: krateo, to be strong and mighty; to rule; hold sway; to lay hold of; become master of; subdue. Translated "lay hold upon" (Rev. 20:2; Mat. 12:11; 14:3; 26:55-57; Mar. 3:21; 6:17; 12:12; 14:51; Heb. 6:18); "lay hands on" (Mat. 18:28; 21:46); "hold fast" (Mat. 26:48; Heb. 4:14; Rev. 2:13, 2:25; 3:11); "obtain" (Acts 27:13); "take" (Mat. 22:6; 26:4, 26:50; Mar. 14:1, 14:44-49; Acts 24:6); "take by" (Mat. 9:25; Mar. 1:31; 5:41; 9:27; Luke 8:54); "hold by" (Mat. 28:9); "keep" (Mar. 9:10); "retain" (John 20:23); and "hold" (Mar. 7:3-8; Luke 24:16; Acts 2:24; 3:11; Col. 2:19; 2Th. 2:15; Rev. 2:1, 2:14-15; 7:1). This proves that angels can actually lay hold of the bodies of each other and can be confined to material places in material chains and with doors and locks (Rev. 20:2; 9:1, 9:14; 12:7-12; 2Pet. 2:4; Jude 1:6-7; Isa. 24:22-23). They can also take hold of the bodies of people (Gen. 19:10, 19:16; 32:24-32). This includes not only Satan; but the demons as well. Their imprisonment will dramatically alter the world during the kingdom, since their destructive influence in all areas of human thought and life will be removed.

On the dragon... Likening Satan to a dragon emphasizes his ferocity, and cruelty.
Here we see the devil spoken of as the dragon which we read about in a previous lesson (see 12:3). We also see him recognized as the serpent. You see, he was the one who deceived Eve in the garden (Gen. 3:1; compare 2 Cor. 11:3; 1 Tim. 2:14).
The devil will not be here on the earth to harass the Christians until the millennial 1000 year reign of Jesus is over.
When he bound the devil for the 1000 years, the angel put him in the abyss, not in the burning hell. This burning hell was reserved for his final punishment.
a thousand years... This is the first of 6 references to the length of the millennial kingdom (compare verses 3-7).

The angel grabbed Satan, the dragon (cf. Rev. 12:3-4, 12:7, 12:9, 12:13, 12:16-17; 13:2, 13:4, 13:11; 16:13), that ancient serpent (Rev. 12:9, 12:14-15), bound him, and threw him into the Abyss, and locked it, in order to prevent Satan’s work of deceiving the nations any more for a thousand years.

This same power of Satan is further revealed in the Great Tribulation when he empowers the world ruler (Rev. 13:4). Satan will have been cast out of heaven at the beginning of the Great Tribulation and will then be more active than ever (Rev. 12:9, 12:13, 12:15, 12:17).

If Satan is actually deceiving the nations today, as the Scriptures and the facts of history indicate, then he is not now locked in the Abyss, and the thousand-year Millennium is still future.
