Ezekiel Chapter 42 Vs. 13

 The Temple's Chambers

Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. Eze 42:13

Then said he... This is speaking of the chambers that are on the other side of this place of separation. Those close by the Holy Place, are for those priests, who share with the altar the food sacrificed there. It appears these were places, where the priests were separated out, while they were working in the temple.

where the priests... Here we have the use of these particular rooms explained. They were dressing and eating rooms for the priests (Eze. 42:13-14).

the most holy... "The most holy things" were the showbread, the portions of the animals sacrificed, and the oil and wine offered with the sacrifices. The mention of meat offerings, sin offerings, and trespass offerings is the first proof in these chapters of their eternal observance in the eternal kingdom of the Messiah on earth. The priests are to be the ministers of such a sacrificial program (Eze. 42:14). The place (spoken of in verse 13), is near the Holy Place, and is included in the near surroundings of the Holy Place. It would be thought of as being part of the Holy Place, because many of the items used in the ministry will be laid there.

According to the Mosaic Law the priests received a portion of some offerings (Lev. 2:3, 2:10; 6:16, 6:26-30; 7:7-10). A similar provision will be made for the millennial priests.
