Daniel Chapter 4 Vs. 28

Nebuchadnezzar's Humiliation

All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. Dan. 4:28

All this came... Here the change is to the historical narration (Dan. 4:24-27).

The revelation given to… Nebuchadnezzar through Daniel’s interpretation was soon forgotten and Daniel’s exhortation was ignored. Nebuchadnezzar continued in his sinful pride. He did not repent as Daniel had advised him to do (Dan. 4:27). The king was controlled by his great egotism. He considered the city of Babylon itself as his personal possession and as a reflection of his power and glory (Dan. 4:30).

the king... This is not for the nation and its people; this is for Nebuchadnezzar as an individual.
