My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 22:17

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 22:17

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

Revelation 22

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Rev. 22:17

the Spirit and... Two that call to repentance:

1. The Holy Spirit (John 16:7-11)

2. The bride—those who are married to Jesus Christ in every generation and who will go to live in the New Jerusalem, which is the bride, the Lamb’s wife (Rev. 21:2, 21:9-10)

And let him... Three classes invited to come:

1. Those who hear

2. Those who are thirsty

3. Those who will come

All people are thus invited to come and partake of the water of life freely.

Man—A Free Moral Agent

If man were not a free moral agent, God would be entirely responsible for all sin, the effect of sin, rebellion, sickness, and the damnation of people, demons, and angels.

Seven facts about free moral agency:

1. Man has no choice about coming into the world, but after he is here and old enough to be responsible, he is held accountable for his salvation or damnation (Mar. 16:15-16; Luke 13:3, 13:5). Man has his own will to exercise in this matter (John 3:16; 6:37; 7:17; Rev. 22:17).

2. It is God’s will that all people who will to be, shall be saved (Rev. 22:17; John 3:16; 1Tim. 2:4; 2Pet. 3:9; Rev. 22:17).

3. People are commanded to choose God (Jos. 24:15; Luke 13:3, 13:5).

4. People are to be cursed if they do not choose God (Pro. 1:29-33; Mar. 16:16; Isa. 66:3).

5. It is impossible to serve God and Satan at the same time (Mat. 6:24; John 8:32-36; Rom. 6:16-23; 8:12-13).

6. Promises are given to people upon the basis of their choice (Rev. 22:17; Mat. 16:24-25; Mar. 3:35; 16:16; John 3:16; 5:40; 7:17; 9:31; 12:26).

7. In over 4,000 scriptures where "choose," "will," and other words expressing volition are used, not one suggests that God forces any man to accept Him and do His will. Man’s relationship with God is entirely on a voluntary basis (Rev. 22:17; Mar. 16:16; John 3:16; 7:17; 1Pet. 5:2) No man recognizing that endless decisions are necessary to daily life can deny the fact of free acts and conduct, for he knows he has freedom of action—moral action—concerning right and wrong, and that he is responsible to God for his every act. If one can deny these facts, he can deny his very existence and prove it on the same basis he tries to prove that he is not a free moral agent. That he is and that he is free to choose his own destiny and daily moral actions are facts known to sane beings.

bride say, Come... This is the Spirit’s and church’s answer to the promise of His coming.

The Holy Spirit, since the beginning, has been saying “Come". Unless the Holy Spirit of God woos you, you can forget being saved. It is God's wish that all should be saved. I really believe what this is saying, in this particular instance, is that the Spirit and the believers are saying, "Come quickly Lord Jesus". Salvation is open to whosoever will.

let him that... This is an unlimited offer of grace and salvation to all who desire to have their thirsty souls quenched (compare Isa. 55:1-2).

The Lord's Last Invitation to Humankind. The Lord Jesus Christ, ever concerned for the souls of the lost, closes His great revelation with a challenge for individual people to call on His name. He indicates that there are two who invite us to come to Him: the "Spirit" and the "bride". In addition, He will even use "him who hears."

God the Holy Spirit will use the printed page as well as those who are just repeating what they have heard but may not even believe what they are saying. He also uses the "bride", which indicated that the primary ministry of the Church of Christ during the entire Church Age is to tell others about the Savior. All Christians everywhere should be engaged in saying to their fellow human beings: "Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life." Jesus Christ, of course, is the water of life.

Everyone has a hungering and thirsting for God. Some do not know what they are hungering for. It is so simple just to give in and let Jesus bring you salvation, peace, joy, and life that lasts forever. When we take of this Water of Jesus, it brings Eternal Life. The water, Spirit, and blood testify for us and assure us of a heavenly home (John 5:8).

This is the wonderful invitation extended to every generation up to the coming of Christ. Those who recognize their need and realize that Christ is the provider of salvation are exhorted to come while there is yet time before the judgment falls and it is too late. As the Scriptures make clear, the gift of eternal life (here called the water of life; cf. Rev. 22:1; John 7:37-39) is free. It has been paid for by the death of Christ on the cross and is extended to all who are willing to receive it in simple faith.
