Daniel's Terrifying Vision of a Man
Daniel 10:4 "And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which [is] Hiddekel;"
And in the... four and twentieth day of the first month. The 24th day of our April their first month is Nisan or Abib. So this is in early spring.
which [is]Hiddekel... Only found twice in Scripture (Dan. 10:4; 14:1-24). It is better known as the Tigris, a more modern name not found in Scripture. Euphrates is mentioned 21 times, for along its winding course many Biblical events took place.
The heavenly messenger
After three weeks (cf. Dan. 10:3) Daniel was visited by a messenger as the prophet was standing by the Tigris River (cf. Dan. 12:5).
