Ezekiel Chapter 40 Vs. 42

 The Inner Court

And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice. Eze 40:42

cubit and an... Each of the 4 stone tables for instruments was 31.5 inches square.

These were made, not of wood, but stone. Each table was 2 71/2 feet long and 2 71/2 feet wide. They were 1 1/2 feet high.

These were like chop blocks. The instruments were laid on the table also.

At the sides of the inner gates tables were set up for slaughtering the sacrifices. Four tables were on one side of the gate and four on the other — eight tables in all. The sacrifices prepared on these tables would then be offered on the altar in the inner court.

Even after the church began, Jewish believers did not hesitate to take part in the temple worship (Acts2:46; 3:1; 5:42) and even to offer sacrifices (Acts 21:26). They could do this because they viewed the sacrifices as memorials of Christ’s death.
