science...
History records 2 main periods of science: the Greek period from 600
B.C. to 200 A.D., and the modern period from 1450 A.D. to our day.
Science began in Egypt and Babylon with the birth of mathematics,
metallurgy, anatomy, and astronomy. To the Babylonians we owe the
exact measurements of the lunar and solar cycles, the tracing of the
paths of the planets, the division of the circle into 360 degrees,
and the designation of constellations, notably those of the zodiac.
Daniel was no doubt trained in all these sciences. The inscriptions
show that there was a special palace school with elaborate
arrangements for special education.

and belonged to South Babylonia (Dan. 2:2, 2:4, 2:5, 2:10; 3:8; 4:7;
