The King's Decree
And
the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and
they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. Dan. 2:13
And
the decree... He
issued an order for the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. The
decree was not only for those currently serving the king’s court,
but on all who professed to be able to reveal the future. Since
Daniel and his three friends were classified as wise men, the
judgment also fell on them.
