My
Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 18:8
Before
Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray,
something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and
they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear
His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but
most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were
doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do
not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of
you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you
heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes
many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to
sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled
with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your
time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you
and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the
rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you
need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions
for you.
Revelation
18
Therefore
shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine;
and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is
the Lord God who judgeth her” Rev. 18:8
her
plagues come... These could include those (of 16:1ff), but must be
the special destruction of the city as well, described as “plagues
and mourning and famine”.
in
one day... (see verses 10, 17, 19). The special judgments on Babylon
take place in a brief period of time. (Daniel 5:30), records that
Babylon of old fell in one day.(Isaiah 47:9). “But these two [things] shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, [and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments”.
This is saying that Babylon's destruction will not be progressive. The wicked city (system), will be instantly destroyed. (Dan 5:25-28, 30), records a similar fate that befell ancient Babylon; the city fell the very night that God wrote its doom on the wall of the king's palace.
Babylon's
doom is certain and cannot be avoided. No one can change God's plans
or keep Him from accomplishing what He purposed to do as
Nebuchadnezzar discovered above in Daniel. Or in this case his
grandson Belshazzar (Dan. 5:13-30).
Four
plagues upon Babylon:
1.
Death
2.
Mourning
3.
Famine
4.
Utterly burned with fire
who
judgeth her...
The suddenness and completeness of the destruction of Babylon are
emphasized by this prophecy, proving that the judgment is yet future
(Rev. 18:8, 18:10, 18:17, 18:19-21; Isa. 13:20; Jer. 50:13, 50:13,
50:39-40; 51:29-43).
Death,
mourning, and famine, also fire, will come on the city in one day
(Rev. 18:8).
Lamentation
over the Destruction of Literal Babylon
The
lamentation over the destruction of Babylon is to be done by three
earthly worlds, showing the greatness and universality of her
commerce, influence, and her luxurious centralization, Rev. 18: 9-19.
