Nebuchadnezzar's
Golden Image
Therefore
at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet,
flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the
people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and
worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan. 3:7
Overwhelmed
by the king’s command, the awesomeness of the image, and the sound
of the music, the assembled officials fell down and worshiped the
image of gold. In this way the officials and the peoples they
represented recognized the political and religious authority of
Nebuchadnezzar.
