It will be a profane (common) place for all Israel, the place for the
city of Jerusalem which, with its suburbs, will be 5,000 square
reeds, or about 10 square miles in measurement. Houses will be built
here for anyone desiring to live in Jerusalem.

The city will be in the middle of the 10 by 50-mile section measuring
from east to west; but it will take up the entire 10 miles north and
south.
This
was not considered a holy place. It was used for the city, and for
the common people. This was an area, for those who lived in and
around the city, to build their houses.
