Nebuchadnezzar
Praises God
How
great are
his signs! and how mighty are
his wonders! his kingdom is
an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is
from generation to generation. Dan. 4:3
and
how mighty... Nebuchadnezzar is elevating God the only way he knows
how. His words are praising God, and all of His deeds. The statements
are true.
is
an everlasting... God's kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. His
dominion is of all men, and reaches from generation to generation.
Nebuchadnezzar,
a heathen king, expressed two great doctrines of Scripture that very
few Bible scholars understand or acknowledge today:
1.
That God’s kingdom is to be an everlasting one (Dan. 4:3; 2:44-45;
7:13-14, 7:18, 7:27; Isa. 9:6-7; Zec. 14:1-21; Luke 1:31-33; Rev.
11:15; 22:4-5)
2.
That eternal generations of natural people will be on the earth (Dan.
4:3; 2:44-45; 7:13-14, 7:18, 7:27; Gen. 8:22; 9:12; Isa. 9:6-7;
59:21; Zec. 14:1-21; Luke 1:31-33; Rev. 5:10; 11:15; 22:4-5)
