My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 21:18

My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 21:18

Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.

Revelation 21

The Materials in the New Jerusalem

And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. Rev. 21:18

wall of it... The massive walls a material called jasper. This is the material of the thick wall, diamond! This is the same diamond like stone that was mentioned (in verse 11), clear as crystal.

was pure gold,... Next the city itself was pure gold, like clear glass. Imagine how God's glory will radiate throughout and light up the entire city.
Unlike earth’s gold, this gold will be transparent so the overpowering radiance of God’s glory can refract and glisten through the entire city.

As John gazed at the wall, he saw that it was made of jasper, and that the city was made of pure gold, as pure as glass. John was using the language of appearance, for apparently both the jasper and the gold differ from these metals as they are known today. In Rev. 21:11 the jasper is translucent, and in Rev. 21:18 and Rev. 21:21 the gold is clear like glass.

The wall of the city is great and high and has three gates on each of the four sides. This is the same construction which is to be used in the eternal earthly city Jerusalem, built at the beginning of the Millennium, Ezek. 48:30-35. Both John and Ezekiel wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, and their descriptions refer to two different cities. Both of them will be material cities. That the earthly city is eternal has already been shown in Isa. 2:2-4; 11:11-12:6; Jer. 17:25; Ezek. 34:1-31; 43:7. That this heavenly city is eternal there is no question. The distance between the locations of the two is not revealed, but they may be in the same part of the earth. There will be no great oceans as there are now, so there will be sufficient room. The glorified saints will have been occupying the New Jerusalem from the time of their rapture before the Millennium. On the other hand, the earthly Jerusalem will have been the capitol of the kingdom of Christ and the city of earthly Israel throughout that period, and will continue as such throughout eternity.

The twelve gates in the walls will have the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. In Ezek. 48:30-35, we read whose names are in the gates of the earthly Jerusalem. At the gates there will stand twelve angels.

The wall has twelve foundations and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The twelfth apostle will be Matthias, who was chosen in the place of Judas and upon whom God set His seal, Acts 1:15-26.
