My Sheep Hear My Voice- Rev. 22:5
Before Jesus was crucified He told the disciples to watch and pray, something so simple, but they let their physical bodies take over and they fell back asleep. In these last hours of time you need to hear His voice. When He tells you something, it is very important, but most ignore my voice or just discuss it and go on with what they were doing. You will see many things start to happen shortly and if you do not hear and obey His voice,... it will mean death for some of you....Jesus has only your best interest in mind. Christ knows you heart, and if you are truly His you will hear His voice. He awakes many of you at 3am on the dot, but most will roll over and go back to sleep. There are a few who will get up and pray. Your day is filled with so many things and Jesus is the last thing many of you give your time to. But Christ needs to talk to you,... to fellowship with you and only when you are still and quite (3am) can you hear Him,... the rest of your day is so busy you do not have time for Him,... but you need to make time, for time is short and the Lord has instructions for you.
Revelation 22
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Rev. 22:5
shall be no... Since in the New Jerusalem God is always present, His glory makes all other sources of light unnecessary (Rev. 21:23; Isaiah 60:19-20; Zech. 14:7).
We have talked so much about our Lord Jesus being the Light. He is the source of all Light.
and they need... When the Light is on full power, you certainly do not need a candle. The sun has no more purpose any more either. This presence of this Light is all they need. This Kingdom has no end. It is for all of eternity.
they shall reign... Heaven’s citizens are more than servants (see Rev. 3:21).
for ever and... As a final word describing the saint's heavenly experience, they are told it once again that it will never end. They shall reign forever and forever.
The Saints’ Reign With God (Rev. 22:5)
Once again John wrote that the glory and light of the New Jerusalem will be the presence of God, with no artificial illumination (cf. Rev. 21:23-24). And once again the statement is made that the servants of God will reign with Christ forever (cf. Rev. 20:6).
This passage is the conclusion of the vision of the New Heaven, the New Earth, the heavenly Jerusalem and the Eternal Perfect State. Here we have the statement that God's servants shall reign for ever and ever in the new state. This city will be the center of the universe from which God will reign. This passage is at least clear that the servants of God shall see His face and His name shall be in their foreheads. This is in fulfillment of the promise to the overcomer, Rev. 3:12. Glorified saints are to be the servants mentioned here who will reign for ever and ever with God and Christ after all enemies have been put down.
Eternity is Merely the Continuation of Time
The common conception is that, at a certain point, time ceases to be and eternity begins. But the fact is that we are now in eternity, for eternity is the extension of time forever. There never will be a time when there will be no time. The word “time” means “infinite” duration, or time.” Time is commonly contrasted with eternity. This is true as far as things which have a beginning are concerned, but such could not be true of things that have no ending. The heavens and earth and all things therein as originally created are eternal. Since the creation of these things, eternity has been broken up into times and seasons, days and nights, months and years, and ages and periods, and God always recognizes this in His Word. Men generally think of eternity as beginning with the next life, or with the new heavens and new earth, but this is not true. When men enter the next life and the heavens and the earth are made new, there is no change made in time or eternity. They remain the same. The change is made in men and in the heavens and earth, in that they enter into a new state which is eternal and unchangeable. The Bible teaches that times and seasons, day and night, and summer and winter, shall not cease, for these things are regulated by the sun, moon, and stars, which are eternal, Gen. 1:14-18; 8:22; Psm. 89:29, 35-37; Rev. 4:8; 7:15; 14:11; 20:10.
The Bible never teaches that time will cease to be. This error has been brought about through the mistranslation and misinterpretation of two passages of Scripture. The first, Rev. 10:6, instead of reading “time should be no longer,” should read “delay should be no longer.” It could not mean that time will be longer, for after this the tribulation runs its course for three and one-half years and Christ comes to the earth to reign 1,000 years before the supposed “eternity” begins. The second, Rev. 21:21, is misinterpreted to mean that there will be no night in the earth. There will be no night in the Holy City itself, and not the earth. There will be no night in the Holy City, but there will be in the rest of the earth, as shown in the above passages.
The Bible teaches that the perfect age is the one beginning with the new heavens and new earth, after the Millennium, and it is eternal, as has been abundantly shown. There is no mention of any other age between the Millennium and the New Earth in any passage of the Bible. The last chapters of Revelation give the future ages that will be. They are the Millennium (Rev. 20) and the new eternal perfect age (Rev. 21-22).
